Halle’s glittering night in the City of Angels comes after the actress spoke out about her ex-boyfriend, rapper DDG, after he featured their son Halo on a livestream earlier this week without her consent.
After DDG brought their 11-month-old son on YouTuber Kai Cenat’s Twitch livestream on Wednesday, Halle took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out her ex.
In a since-deleted tweet, she wrote: ‘Hi everyone. Just so you know I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight.
‘I wasn’t told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people,’ the singer continued. ‘I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town.’
In a follow-up tweet, that’s also since been deleted, Bailey confessed that she’s been battling ‘severe postpartum’ and shaded DDG for not respecting her ‘boundaries.’
‘As a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected. no one knows what someone is going through until they snap,’ she penned.
The following day, she issued a second statement and said she might have ‘overreact[ed].’

In a tweet, she wrote: ‘Yesterday maybe I did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here.
‘I know that Halo is always safe with his dad. I just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing.’
After Bailey received backlash for publicly criticizing DDG, he stood up for her in a video he titled: ‘Finally responding to Halle…’
‘One thing I don’t like when people do, I don’t like when people hate on Halle,’ he said. ‘I don’t care if people think she wrong or not, or if I think she wrong or right.’
DDG continued: ‘She could be going through something mentally after having a kid that I can’t understand as a man.’
Back in April, Bailey spoke candidly about struggling with postpartum depression.
‘So when situations like this happen, I try to handle it with as much grace as possible because Halo needs her. I need her. We need each other to create a childhood that’s safe and fun and memorable for him.’
The rapper said that their son was ‘the biggest blessing’ and extended his gratitude to his ex-girlfriend, adding that he wouldn’t be a father without her.
‘For that reason alone, I got unconditional love and respect for her that nobody can really change,’ he explained.
He told the public that he does not like being pitted against his ex-girlfriend especially as they continue to navigate coparenting following their breakup.
