She denied throwing subtle shade at Selena Gomez, but Hailey Bieber’s social media activity continues to raise eyebrows, with a recent Instagram post believed to be another dig at the singer.
Hailey, 28, has frequently come under fire for allegedly liking shady videos and comments about her husband Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend.
She denied a recent claim made by TikTok user Courtney Presto who accused the model of liking a post which mocked Selena, 32, and her fiancé Benny Blanco, 36.
‘Hailey claims that she did not like the shady post about Selena, but not everyone buys it,’ an insider told DailyMail.com.
‘It happened to come after Selena released the track list for her new album and fans questioned if the song You Said You Were Sorry was a reference to Justin.’
But now, a comment she made on Sunday about ‘bananas’ on her Instagram Stories has been pulled into question, with insiders convinced it was a swipe at Selena.

Hailey was venting her dislike of a tactic used by pastors and preachers that she said drives her ‘bananas.’
‘Pastors and preachers really love to just put words together with the same letter and act like it’s HITTING so crazy…’ she wrote.
‘“There’s blessing in the brokenness” “there’s grace in the gratitude.” S**t drives me bananas.’
‘Her “bananas” post on Sunday was taken as another diss,’ the insider said. ‘No one seemed to pick up on it.
‘Some people close to Selena feel it is a reference to Benny’s famous Banana pudding that Selena loves.’
They continued: ‘She’s made no secret of her love for bananas. She even dressed as one for Halloween.’
Benny has shared the recipe for his beloved banana pudding on social media and even taught Drew Barrymore how to make the sweet treat during an appearance on her talk show in May last year.
Selena playfully dressed up as a banana for Halloween in 2022, with footage of the singer wearing a bright yellow costume as she fooled around New York with friends later surfacing online.

The latest alleged swipe comes after a representative for Hailey shut down claims that she had reacted to a clip posted on February 14, regarding Selena and Benny’s photo shoot with Interview magazine – which included a rather bizarre snap of her feet resting on his cheeks.
TikToker Courtney Presto made fun of some of the images featuring the pair.
‘This is the WORST,’ Courtney captioned the post. ‘Sorry to do this to everyone but I had to look at these photos so you do too.’
‘I genuinely can’t decide which is the worst,’ she added.
Courtney later shared a post claiming that Hailey had liked the video which prompted fans to urge the star to leave Selena alone.
‘Hailey Bieber why are you liking this,’ one person commented, while another said: ‘Hailey Bieber is so obsessed with Selena like girl??? CMON LEAVE HER ALONE.’
A third person pointed out: ‘This only having 5k likes and it STILL landed on Hailey’s fyp.. oh she’s obsessed.’
Another asked: ‘How did this even come up on your fyp Hailey? I literally told y’all the girl will forever hate Selena.’

A representative for Justin Bieber’s wife said: ‘This never happened. This entire story has been fabricated by a content creator’

Selena, who got engaged to producer Benny in December, has previously defended Hailey against cruel trolls who have inundated her with ‘hate’ and ‘bullying’ (pictured in 2022)
However, on Sunday, Hailey’s rep told Us Weekly: ‘This never happened’.
Selena and Justin had an on-again, off-again relationship from 2009 to 2018.
Hailey started dating him shortly after his final split with the singer, much to the upset of ‘Jelena’ fans. Both Justin and Hailey have denied any overlap in their relationships.
Selena, who got engaged to producer Benny in December, has previously defended Hailey against cruel trolls who have inundated her with ‘hate’ and ‘bullying’.
‘Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,’ she wrote in a statement shared on her Instagram in 2023.
‘This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.’
Hailey thanked Selena for ‘speaking out’ and revealed that the pair had been discussing how to ‘move past this ongoing narrative’ between them.
It came after Hailey shared a TikTok video which some believed poked fun at Selena.

Justin and Selena, seen here in 2010, were together on and off for several years and split for good in 2018

Justin and Hailey, seen here in 2022, have been married since 2018 and now share a son named Jack
Joined by close friends Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye, the ladies lip-synced along to the words: ‘I’m not saying she deserves it, but God’s timing is always right.’
The clip was shared right around the time that a set of unflattering paparazzi photos were shared of Selena from a trip to Mexico – and based on the suspicious timing of Hailey’s post, many were convinced that she was shading Selena.
The TikTok was swiftly deleted, and Hailey insisted in a comment that the video had nothing to do with her husband’s ex.
But despite appearing to have no bad blood, the pair are not close, with sources telling DailyMail.com that they avoided each other at the Vanity Fair party after this year’s Oscars ceremony.
‘There was no way Selena wanted an awkward photo and for everyone to write about it the next day,’ the insider said.
‘It was her night, she was a presenter at the Oscars for Emilia Perez, a film she is proud of, so she wanted the focus on that.’
Selena is currently planning her wedding with Benny.
The pair recently worked on a new song together, Scared of Loving You, with Gracie Abrams.
It comes two years after she opened up about her painful split from Justin, which she described as the ‘best thing that ever happened to [her]’.
