Gypsy-Rose Blanchard shared her postpartum progress with fans on Friday, just days after giving birth to her first child.

The new mom, 33 — who served eight years after being convicted of second-degree murder for the death of her mother Claudine ‘Dee Dee’ Blanchard — took to her Instagram Stories with a selfie showcasing her toned body in a white tank top.

‘Almost a week postpartum,’ she wrote in a text overlay with a pink heart emoji, adding, ‘Feeling more energized.’

The snap showed Gypsy-Rose looking fresh-faced, with her brunette tresses pulled back, aside from a few strands framing her face.

The Munchausen-by-proxy victim and her partner Ken Urker, 31, named their baby girl — born December 28th and revealed to the world on January 1 — Aurora.

Gypsy-Rose’s new chapter in life comes exactly one year after her release from prison for the murder of her mother.

The photo showed Blanchard laying in a hospital bed holding Aurora, and Urker leaning over them.

‘Aurora is healthy and we are so happy,’ Ken told TMZ.

Gypsy was released from prison on December 28, 2023, after serving eight years behind bars for her part in the killing of her abusive mother, Dee Dee.

She spent her childhood posing as a wheelchair-bound invalid after mom Dee Dee shaved her daughter’s head, pumped her full of drugs and convinced the world she was suffering from leukemia and muscular dystrophy.

Their ‘inseparable’ bond ended when Gypsy burst free of her warped mom’s control in 2015 by letting her besotted internet boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, creep into their Springfield, Missouri, home to stab 48-year-old Dee Dee to death.

She ultimately plead guilty to second-degree murder and spent nearly a decade locked up before she was granted early parole and released last December.

While in prison, she bonded with Ken after he sent her a letter; they started corresponding and things soon turned romantic, with him proposing in 2018.

But after the Hulu show The Act – which starred Joey King as Gypsy and Patricia Arquette as her mother – premiered a few months later and put an intense spotlight on Gypsy’s story, she admitted in her memoir that Ken couldn’t handle all the sudden attention.

They ultimately split and she moved on with Ryan Scott Anderson, and they wed in July 2022.

Ryan was by her side when she was freed – but just three months later, news hit the web that they had split.

Soon after, it was reported that Gypsy had reconciled with her ex, Ken; she then revealed that they were expecting in July.

In November, Gypsy-Rose finally revealed the father of her baby after her estranged husband Ryan agreed to a paternity test.

Because Blanchard is still legally married, Anderson had to take a DNA test to establish the baby’s paternity or run the risk that he, rather than Urkel, would be listed as the father on the birth certificate under a little-known Louisiana law.

Anderson stated this August that he planned to undergo the test, saying: ‘I don’t have a choice,’ and adding: ‘I hate being in this situation.’

Blanchard and Urker first met as pen pals while she was serving time in prison, with Urker even proposing in 2018, before they ultimately split. They rekindled their romance after she filed for divorce from husband Ryan Scott Anderson in April

Now Urker has also had his DNA examined, and Blanchard confirmed on Instagram that he is indeed the biological father of her baby.

In a previous YouTube video, Gypsy spoke about how her horrific upbringing would affect her outlook on motherhood.

‘All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby,’ she stated. ‘I just want to be a good mother to my child, I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.’

Gypsy added that the pregnancy had given her ‘freedom in a way she never expected,’ and a newfound peace on ‘everything that has ever happened to her.’

‘It doesn’t matter because it all lead to me to be who I am today,’ she stated. ‘It all lead me to this moment right here right now.’

Last month, Gypsy opened up to People about the ‘backstory’ behind her baby’s name.

‘Ken came up with that. There’s a whole backstory to it,’ she dished. ‘Some people think that it’s because of the Disney Princess.

‘Some people think that it’s because Kristy’s dog is named Aurora Grace,’ she said of her step-mother, adding: ‘It’s not because of that.’

Instead, Aurora was selected because of the couple’s shared love of the Northern Lights.

‘Back whenever Ken and I were together seven years ago, both of us have a fascination with the Northern Lights, and the proper term is the Aurora Borealis,’ she said recalling her time dating Urker while imprisoned.

‘I think it was maybe in 2018, we wrote each other’s future kid’s name on pieces of paper and Aurora is what we both picked without even knowing each other was picking it.’

Gypsy said that she reminisced over the name when she split from Ken and married her now ex-husband Ryan.

‘When we had broken up [it was like], “Oh, Aurora is never going to be born.” A lot of people think the origin is one thing, but they don’t know that little story,’ she continued.

Gypsy added that once she’s off parole later this year, she and her family plan to see the Northern Lights for themselves at some point.
