Vice President Kamala Harris reacted Wednesday to comments made by Donald Trump about women and his willingness to protect them.

‘You will no longer have anxiety from all of the problems our country has today,’ Trump said during a campaign rally on Monday. ‘You will be protected, and I will be your protector.’

Harris criticized his role in the Supreme Court overturning Roe V. Wade accusing him of punishing women who were only trying to make their own decisions about their own bodies.

‘Look the thing about Donald Trump is you know I don’t think the women of America need him to protect them, they need him to trust them,’ he said.

Harris participated in her first one-on-one interview since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle.

Republican Rep. Clay Higgins has sparked fury for a tweet calling Haitian migrants thugs and accusing them of eating pets and practicing ‘vudu’.

The Louisiana lawmaker is facing calls to be censured over the now-deleted post describing them as ‘slapstick gangsters.’

‘Lol. These Haitians are wild. Eating pets, vudu, nastiest country in the western hemisphere, cults, slapstick gangsters… but damned if they don’t feel all sophisticated now, filing charges against our President and VP,’ Higgins posted.

‘All these thugs better get their mind right and their a– out of our country before January 20th.

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) went to the House floor on Wednesday and demanded he be censured.

‘I hope that every member of this body understands that no person, particularly those who contribute to communities — who are entrepreneurial, who give to our communities by being nurses and first responders and teachers — that those individuals, those children, no longer have to live in fear or intimidation because of any words or quotes to come from members of this body,’ CBC chairman Steven Horsford said on the House floor.

Ryan Routh was arrested just over a week ago and charged with attempted assassination.

Congress passed a short-term measure to keep the federal government’s coffers full after weeks of Republican infighting over the funding bill’s details.

The dramatic process forced House Speaker Mike Johnson to walk a political tightrope after former President Donald Trump interjected in the congressional process.

Johnson last week attempted to pass the same funding bill with an illegal immigrant voting reform law attached, a special interest of Trump’s, but it failed after House Republicans and Democrats voted against it.

So Johnson cut the wishlist item and put the bill back up for a vote Wednesday where it passed with bipartisan support in the House and the Senate.

The bill, which funds the government through December 20, also includes measures to boost the Secret Service’s budget by millions in the wake of two recent Donald Trump assassination attempts.

MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle revealed Wednesday night that Kamala Harris did not answer her question about how she planned to raise taxes to help fund her spending proposals.

Rhule asked Harris how she could raise taxes on corporations without sending them overseas where taxes were cheaper.

‘I work with a lot of CEOs I have spent a lot of time with CEOs, let me tell you that the business leaders that are actually part of the engine of America’s economy agree that people should pay their fair share,’ she said.

Harris said that the United States would ‘have to’ raise taxes.

‘But we’re going to have to raise corporate taxes,’ Harris replied.

The vice president asserted she had a ‘real plan’ unlike former President Donald Trump.

‘One must be serious and have a plan — and a real plan that’s not just about some talking point ending in an exclamation at a political rally, but actually putting the thought into what will be the return on the investment,’ she said.

The Trump campaign reacted to the clip, sharing it on social media.

President Joe Biden led a group of more 30 countries in expressing their support for Ukraine on Wednesday, as President Volodymyr Zelensky tries to rally the world to his peace plan and keep his country in the spotlight.

The leaders surrounded Biden and Zelensky on stage for a group photo at the start of the event, in a visual show of support, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.

But there were a few hiccups: Biden welcomed the leaders to Washington (they’re in New York) and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni gave her remarks over zoom but forgot to unmute herself at the top.

Biden said the leaders had gathered ‘to make it clear that we with stand with Ukraine now and in the future. That starts on the battlefield.’

He said he would announce more military commitments on Thursday when Zelensky visits the White House. He plans to give more than $8 billion worth of military assistance for Ukraine, Reuters reported.

Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson sent a memo to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky asking him to fire the Eastern European country’s ambassador to the U.S.

Johnson’s letter comes on the heels of an investigation launched by the GOP-held chamber into top Biden officials for allegedly facilitating a ‘campaign’ event featuring top Democrats and Zelensky.

During the visit, the Ukrainian leader posed with pictures with the Democrats and reportedly bashed Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance.

‘I demand that you immediately fire Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova,’ Johnson wrote.

‘As you have said, Ukrainians have tried to avoid being ‘captured by American domestic politics,’ and ‘influencing the choices of the American people’ ahead of the November election. Clearly that objective was abandoned this week when Ambassador Markarova organized an event in which you toured an American manufacturing site.’

Kamala Harris will visit the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona on Friday when she is campaigning in the state in an attempt to put the immigration issue to rest.

Donald Trump has repeatedly hammered the Democratic presidential nominee on the issue, dubbing her the ‘border czar.’ Harris’ team counters the vice president was put in charge of mitigating the root causes of migration.

The Associated Press reported the trip, citing campaign sources. Harris’ campaign has said she will be in Arizona that day but hasn’t released a more specific schedule.

Harris has worked to try and turn the tables on the issue but it remains a political hot potato for her.

Amid rumors Harris was headed that way, Trump told a rally in Mint Hill, North Carolina, that she was going there ‘for political reasons.’

‘When Kamala speaks about the border, her credibility is less than zero,’ Trump said. ‘I hope you´re going to remember that on Friday. When she tells you about the border, ask her just one simple question: “Why didn´t you do it four years ago?”’

Vice President Kamala Harris repeated her claim on social media that she worked at McDonald’s when she was in college, after former President Donald Trump repeatedly mocked her claim as a ‘lie.’

‘I come from the middle class—I worked at McDonald’s,’ Harris wrote on social media ahead of her economic speech in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Harris spoke about her job at McDonald’s during an interview with the Drew Barrymore show in May.

‘I did. Yes, I did work at McDonald’s,’ Harris laughed. ‘When I was at school … I did fries. And then I did the cashier.’

Trump has repeatedly challenged the claim at multiple rallies this week, even saying Wednesday during a rally that he wants to show up at a McDonald’s to experience what it is like to make fries.

‘Remember one other thing and I think it’s terrible, She lied about McDonald’s, she said, “I was a worker at McDonald’s,’ Trump said during an event in Georgia on Tuesday, and added. ‘She never worked there. It was a lie!’

President Joe Biden revealed the advice he gave Kamala Harris on beating Donald Trump and talked about the state of his relationship with Nancy Pelosi during an appearance on ABC’s The View on Wednesday.

He also slammed Trump as having no redeeming social value and indicated he’d like to squash him like a bug.

The president got a rock star welcome from the hosts, who fawned over him, and the audience, which gave him a standing ovation.

‘It’s like having one of the Beatles at the table,’ The View’s Sara Haines gushed.

Whoopi Goldberg praised the president repeatedly during his 30-minute appearance on the show.

‘You were my ride or die,’ she said. ‘Thank you for everything you have done in my lifetime.’

Former President Donald Trump said in North Carolina that President Biden should issue massive threat to Iran about how the US would respond if they harm him.

The stark comment came after the Trump campaign says top U.S. intelligence officials briefed him on threats from Iran to assassinate him.

Trump, who has suffered two recent assassination attempts, said Biden should communicate ‘That if you do anything to harm this person we are going to blow your largest cities and the country itself to smithereens.’

‘We are under threat. I have been threatened very directly,’ Trump told a crowd near Charlotte. The threat should be: ‘Your country gets blown to smithereens, as we say.’

He also tried to raise suspicions about the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, asking why the alleged shooter’s father had gotten ‘one of the best and most expensive lawyers’ in the state. Trump said of that attempt: ‘It could be Iran based. It also could be something else.’

The Trump-Vance campaign has postponed two events in Georgia on Thursday, where Sen. J.D. Vance was due to appear.

The two previously advised events scheduled with Senator JD Vance in Georgia will be postponed due to severe weather forecasts.

He was due to give a speech on the economy in Macon before holding a get-out-the-vote rally in Flowery Branche. Tropical storm Helene strengthened to a hurricane Wednesday and is due to make landfall on the Florida pan handle on Thursday evening.

Del. Stacey Plaskett, the U.S. Virgin Islands official, went on a swear-filled rant during a committee hearing Wednesday.

Plasket, who sits on the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, slammed the panel and declared she hopes that it gets dissolved.

‘Prayerfully, this select committee will be over, because the purpose of this committee will no longer be necessary,’ she said.

She said she was at odds with the committee’s GOP Chairman Jim Jordan. She decried the ridicule she received online as a result of her push-back on Jordan and the Republican’s push to investigate the federal government.

‘X, formally called Twitter, is going to call me a racist. They’re going to call me a disrespectful Black bitch,’ she later added.

Republicans are increasingly distancing themselves from North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson.

The state’s GOP gubernatorial candidate is embroiled in scandal and others are worried he will spell doom for other elections this November in the vital swing state.

The race for the Governor’s Mansion in Raleigh was turned on its head last week when CNN reported that Robinson made racist, lewd and salacious comments on the pornographic forum Nude Africa.

Republicans in the Tar Heel state are deleting images they posted with Robinson on social media.

At least 10 right-wing individuals and groups have canceled events with the candidate.

And the Republican Governors Association (RCA) has stopped running ads in the racce against Democrat Josh Stein.

The Biden-Harris administration is facing a two-pronged investigation from Republicans in Congress after the Ukrainian president was flown on taxpayer-funded ‘campaign’ flights.

The outrage from the GOP comes after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky toured a munitions factory in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on a pro-Kamala Harris campaign stop after flying on the U.S. taxpayer dime.

During the visit, the European leader made comments Republicans say were derogatory against Donald Trump and Sen. J.D. Vance.

Zelensky reportedly called Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, Trump’s running mate and a frequent critic of the U.S.’s involvement in the Ukraine-Russia war, ‘too radical.’

He was photographed with Gov. Josh Shapiro, a top Harris surrogate, as he signed 155mm artillery shells that will be flown to Ukraine as it fights Russia.

President Joe Biden on Wednesday warned that ‘an all-out war’ is possible in the Middle East.

‘An all-out war is possible but I also think there’s an opportunity to fundamentally change the hole region,’ he said during an appearance on ABC’s The View.

He also said he and his team were spending the remaining months of his presidency tryin g to get a cease fire into place.

‘I’m using every bit of energy I have with my team to get this done,’ he said.

His remarks came as Israel has stepped up its attacks in Lebanon as it targets members of the Hezbollah.

President Joe Biden rejected suggestions there was a reluctance for him to runb again, and insisted he could have beaten Donald Trump in November.

President Joe Biden praised Kamala Harris’ record as his vice presient and said he was able to delegate to her over most policy areas.

As VP, there wasn’t a single thing that I did that she couldn’t do and so I was able to delegate her responsibility on everything from foreign policy to domestic policy

Vice President Kamala Harris has selected Stephanie Ruhle for her first one-on-one television interview with the establishment media.

Her choice of Ruhle was announced after she appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO where she defended Harris for avoiding interviews and indicated that she would be voting for the vice president.

Kamala Harris may have enjoyed her most successful campaign weeks, according to our J.L. Partners/DailyMail.com election model which shows Donald Trump opening up a 10-point lead.

The model crunches all the latest poll data, as well as decades worth of election results, plus economic numbers to calculate who has the best chance of winning the electoral college in November.

It still shows Harris with the best chance of winning the popular vote (it gives her 50.8 percent support and a 65 percent chance of coming out with more votes in November).

But state-by-state numbers all show the Blue Wall of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan moving towards Trump, giving him the overall advantage when it comes to winning the White House.

The best way to understand what it all means is to count the outcomes for all the different possible permutations and combinations in all the different state. When all of those are run, Trump wins on average 55.2 percent of the time. That is an increase of four points since Monday and nine points since his post-debate low.

Callum Hunter, data scientist at J.L. Partners, said:

Things are continuing to move against Harris. While September saw her gain ground as a result of the debate and changes in ballot access, things have started to settle back to where they were at the start of September. If current trends continue (although these have only been in place for a week or so) then we may see Trump take a more concrete lead in the race over the coming few weeks. September seems to have been Harris’ high point and trends suggest that this high has come to an end.

President Joe Biden reflected on his decision to step aside from the race in his appearance on The View.

‘I meant when I said, it was the greatest honor in the world, sitting behind the resolute desk as president of the United States and I loved it. Sounds corny, but I love my country more.’

He also said his advice for Kamala Harris was to ‘be herself’ as she pushes to beat Trump in the general election.

Hit with a question about his age, he said: ‘It’s hard for me to even say how old I am’.

President Joe Biden has arrived at the ABC studios in New York to appear on The View.

It comes 24 hours after the 81-year-old made what is likely his last major speech to the United Nations with remarks to the General Assembly.

NATO is developing mass evacuation and rescue plans in case of a future war with Russia, a senior general has declared.

Lieutenant-General Alexander Sollfrank, the head of NATO’s logistics command, confirmed this week the security bloc is working to ensure it has the operational capability to extract large numbers of wounded troops from the front lines.

The German general warned that, unlike the allies’ experience in Afghanistan and Iraq, an all-out war with Russia would likely see NATO incur heavy losses across a huge battlefield.

What’s more, Russia’s air force and its vaunted rocket and missile stockpiles mean that medical evacuations via aircraft would be too risky – a factor that could force NATO’s forces to operate ‘hospital trains’ to extract the wounded en-masse.

‘The challenge will be to swiftly ensure high-quality care for, in the worst case, a great number of wounded,’ he said.

Sollfrank’s warning comes as the German military says it expects Russia to be able to attack a NATO country as soon as 2029.

Ukrainian President Zelensky delivered a chilling warning to the world when he addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday morning.

Now Putin does seem to be planning attacks on our nuclear power plants and the infrastructure aiming to disconnect the plants from the power grid with the help of satellites … by the way, ladies and gentlemen, by the way … satellites of other countries.

He reminded his audience that the radiation would not respect international borders.

After addressing the U.N., Zelensky is expected to travel to the White House where he will lay out his plan for a Ukrainian victory against Russia, which will come with a plea for urgent action in part to protect his nation from the indifference expected under a possible Donald Trump administration.

In his speech, he also appeared to allude to Trump’s promise to end the war on day one, or China and Brazil who have been setting out alternative solutions…

When some propose alternatives, half hearted settlement plans, so called sets of principles, it not only ignores the interests and suffering of Ukrainians who are affected by the war the most it not only ignores reality, but also gives Putin the political space to continue the war and treasure the world, to bring more nations under control.

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed who she will be voting for in the upcoming presidential election.

Speaking to People Magazine, the 34-year-old Oscar-winning actress said: ‘I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I think she can protect reproductive rights’, adding that ‘the most important thing’ is to ‘not let somebody into the White House who is going to ban abortion.’

‘Abortion is literally on the ballot,’ she added.

She also clapped back at critics who called her uneducated for not having finished high school.

‘As online trolls like to point out every time I get involved in politics, I didn’t go to school, I dropped out of middle school, so I don’t have a classic education…So storytelling is where I get most of my education.’

The Senate on Tuesday passed a temporary bill to boost the Secret Service protection given to major party candidates following a second attempt on former president Donald Trump’s life earlier this month.

The bill gives Republican presidential nominee Trump and rival Vice President Kamala Harris the same level of protection given to president Joe Biden.

The stopgap measure generally funds agencies at current levels through to December 20, but an additional $231 million was included to bolster the Secret Service after the two assassination attempts against Trump.

Money was also added to aid with the presidential transition, among other things.

It comes just days after the House passed the Enhanced Presidential Security Act, without any opposition, with the bill now sent to the White House to be signed by President Joe Biden.

They were joined by their granddaughter Finnegan, the middle child of Hunter Biden and his first wife Kathleen.

The trio ate at Sistina, an upscale Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side.

The president and first lady held hands as they left the restaurant. Dinner was ‘delicious,’ Biden told reporters.

Jill Biden wore a black Ralph Lauren pants suit with a multi-string of pearls. The first lady will host a luncheon on Wednesday for spouses of world leaders in town for the UN General Assembly meeting.

Both she and the president will host a reception this evening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for all the world leaders.

The hot-tempered response from the San Francisco Democrat came after CNN Host Jake Tapper asked her about recent comments by former President Donald Trump.

‘Donald Trump’s saying that Kamala Harris has bigger cognitive problems than Joe Biden,’ Tapper began as he appeared poised to finish his question.

Then Pelosi abruptly cuts in: ‘Why would you even cover that?’

China launched an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean this morning for the first time in decades, ramping up concerns in a region already tense over Beijing’s territorial claims and rivalry with the US.

The ICBM, which carried a dummy warhead, fell into a designated area of the sea, the Defence Ministry said in a statement posted to social media, adding that the test was part of ‘routine annual training’.

But Beijing has not launched a test of an ICBM at such a scale since 1980, with the surprise launch prompting stern condemnation from other nations in the region.

Japan’s government spokesman Yoshimasa Hayashi declared that ‘there was no notice from the Chinese side in advance’ that its forces would fire an ICBM and expressed ‘serious concern’, while New Zealand branded the launch ‘an unwelcome and concerning development’.

‘Pacific leaders have clearly articulated their expectation that we have a peaceful, stable, prosperous, and secure region,’ the spokesperson said.

Donald Trump has claimed he received intel briefings that Iran has made ‘real and specific threats’ to assassinate him.

The Republican presidential candidate’s campaign gave the chilling update Tuesday night, in a statement that painted the plans ‘as an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States.’

The bulletin was sent out by Trump Campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung, and claimed the ex-commander-in-chief had been briefed about the supposed plot.

This comes days after investigators found that Iranian ‘malicious cyber actors’ emailed associates of President Biden’s campaign with information ‘taken from stolen, non-public material from Trump’s campaign’ over the summer.

It also follows two failed assassination attempts on the aspiring two-term president, the most recent of which occurred just this month.

Donald Trump’s chances of beating Kamala Harris have improved off the back of a series of strong polls, according to a top election forecaster.

The former president has seen a 10 percent bump since September, according to 538 in their latest prediction of who is on course to win the electoral college.

Harris is still the favorite, with a 55 percent chance of victory, while Trump is now at 45 percent after an increase from 39 percent on September 17.

538’s G. Elliott Morris said Trump’s bump is off the back of a national Quinnipiac Poll showing him one point ahead and a New York Times/Siena Poll showing him leading in the critical Sun Belt states of Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia.

‘That’s barely better than a coin flip!’ Morris adds.

‘Slim margins in the swing states make this cycle’s presidential race the closest in decades — the outcome could be closer than in any election in nearly 150 years.’
