Glen Powell has revealed he had a ‘wild night’ with Tom Cruise at the European premiere of Twisters in London on Monday.

The Top Gun: Maverick star, 35, said Tom was Twisters’ biggest hype man as he was laughing his head off inside the Cineworld Leicester Square cinema and ‘riled up the audience’.

Speaking on Tuesday’s episode of BBC’s The One Show, Glen revealed that Tom, 62, was in full support of his new movie.

Speaking to Vernon Kay and Lauren Laverne, Glen admitted that he had a ‘wild night’ with Hollywood legend Tom as he was up cheering with the crowd.

Glen shared: ‘TC [Tom Cruise] showed up. It was a pretty wild night. Tom was next to me, Daisy is right behind me, Tony (Anthony Ramos) is right in front of me, and for every second of this movie Tom was just so excited for me and for all of us.’

Glen continued: ‘He is turning around to Daisy being like “that was great.” He is such a rare individual who really roots for everybody and really roots for people who want to entertain audiences and this movie really is all about that.

‘He was getting the audience riled up, he was laughing louder than everyone, cheering, it was great’, he added.

Tom surprised fans when he made an appearance at the European premiere.

Stepping out to support his Maverick co-star Glen, the Hollywood A-lister posed for photos.

Glen, who played Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin in the Top Gun sequel, stars as ‘tornado wrangler’ Tyler Owens who is forced to confront a particularly catastrophic tornado in the upcoming thriller, Twisters.

Arriving in the capital, Tom smiled for a photo alongside his co-star and captioned the Instagram post: ‘Fun night with friends, watching a movie!!’

In May, a trailer for the flick was released which opens an Oklahoma rodeo with a crowd watching a bull rider followed by a storm siren.

The animals fled along with the crowd and a truck trying to drive away from the chaos was lifted up by the wind and tossed into an electric sign.

‘A once in a generation tornado outbreak continues across Oklahoma,’ a TV weatherman reported as Kate Cooper, played by 25-year-old English actress Daisy Edgar Jones, was studying the storm from afar at a federal weather agency.

A supervisor asked Kate for help with tornadoes after admitting that he’d never seen any like them before.

‘No, I don’t chase anymore,’ Kate said.

After being told that her help could save lives, Kate reluctantly agreed to give him one week.

Kate joined NASA and FEMA experts in Oklahoma and was surprised when self-described ‘tornado wrangler’ Tyler Owens, played by Glen, arrived.

‘If you feel it,’ Tyler said to his adoring fans. ‘Chase it!,’ they hollered back.

A note at the end said that Universal Pictures is partnering with the American Red Cross to help people affected by disasters.

Twisters is scheduled to be released in cinemas on July 19.

The film directed by Lee Isaac Chung also stars Anthony Ramos and features Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, Sasha Lane, Kiernan Shipka and Paul Scheer.

Twisters is a stand-alone sequel to the 1996 film Twister that starred Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Jami Gertz and Cary Elwes.

The classic film sees two storm chasers on the brink of divorce be forced to work together to create an advanced weather alert system by putting themselves in the cross-hairs of extremely violent tornadoes.
