A spirited West Virginia woman flashed a smile in her mugshot after she was arrested in connection with a shooting that involved an assault rifle.
Dominique Marie Ely, 30, was taken into custody in relation to an incident that occurred in Kanawha County in late August, according to WCHS.
After the shooting, investigators hurried to the crime scene, where they discovered two victims. One of them, Andre Jenkins, suffered a gunshot wound to the arm.
Jenkin was rushed to the Charleston Area Medical Center, where he received treatment.
Detectives were able to review footage of the shooting, and by doing so, they learned that Ely was allegedly present for the incident.
In the video, investigators saw that she was with the male suspect who wielded the assault rifle.
From the footage, authorities discovered that the suspect had some kind of altercation with the victims, after which he fired several rounds at them.
After this, Ely could supposedly be seen climbing into a vehicle. A few moments later, the suspect joined her and the two of them fled the scene.
According to WCHS, investigators were able to determine that the vehicle was registered in Ely’s name.
Later, authorities conducted a series of interviews with her and identified her as a suspect.
After she was arrested, Ely posed for her mugshot, in which she flashes a stolid smirk.
West Virginia Mugshots posted a picture of it on their Facebook page, where many users unabashedly announced their infatuation with the 30-year-old.
‘I don’t even care what the charge is. This woman is beautiful,’ one person wrote in the comments section.
‘She’s very pretty,’ another user stated.
Other people criticized Ely for smiling.
‘What are you smiling about?’ someone wrote.
‘Hope she smiles and laughs all the way to prison’ another person commented.
Ely is accused of abetting the male suspect in the shooting and his subsequent escape.
She faces charges of being an accessory, as well as malicious or unlawful assault and endangerment with a firearm.
