German DJ Tomcraft, real name Thomas Bruckner, has passed away at the age of 49.
His devastated family made the announcement on social media on Tuesday, but did not confirm the cause of his death.
They wrote: ‘With a heavy heart, we need to inform you that yesterday, 15 July 202, our beloved father and husband has passed away.
‘We will forever carry you in our hearts and love you until we’re reunited again.’
Tributes for the producer, who was behind 2003 club hit Loneliness, have been shared online following the news.

Dutch music duo Showtek wrote: ‘Rest in peace legend. Thanks for your music , and the love you spread around the world.’
DJ and producer Judge Jules shared a snap with Tomcraft and hailed him as a ‘lovely guy who made one of the greatest records ever’.
Just three days prior to his death, Tomcraft shared an Instagram post recapping his DJ set at Steinbruch Open Air festival.
Tomcraft found fame in the late ’90s and early ’00s after his hit track Loneliness achieved chart success.
Loneliness reached number eight in the UK back in 2002 and the tune reached the number one spot in 2003.

More recently, the track was brought back to life when it appeared in a party scene in hit film Saltburn.
In the same year, Dutch EDM star Hardwell remixed Loneliness with DJs From Mars.
Tomcraft released four albums through out his career and played at venues all over the world, including clubs in Tokyo, Los Angeles, and several European cities.
As well as Loneliness, Tomcraft released club hits including The Circle, Prosac and Silence.
