The first half of the Game Of Thrones spinoff A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms will be overseen by Owen Harris, best known for directing two episodes of Black Mirror, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Harris will direct the program’s first three episodes, and he will also serve as one of the project’s executive producers.
It was also revealed that the first season of the show – which is being developed along several other spinoffs – would run for a total of six episodes.
Development on A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms was initially announced in 2021.
Variety revealed that the project would be based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, which were released from 1998 to 2010.

The three novellas in the collection were collectively published as A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms in 2013.
The upcoming program will be chronologically set 100 years before the start of the main Game Of Thrones series.
A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms was also used as the name for the second episode of the smash-hit HBO series’ eighth season, which aired in 2019.
The upcoming series will be centered on Ser Duncan the Tall, a courageous and naive young knight, as well as his squire, Egg.
The show will follow the characters as they navigate a Targaryen-dominated Westeros and encounter both powerful enemies and dangerous situations.
The roles of Duncan and Egg will be filled by Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell, respectively.
Martin and Ira Parker serve as the upcoming project’s writers, and they will also executive produce the series.
According to Deadline, A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is expected to premiere in late 2025.

The program will serve as the second spinoff from Game Of Thrones, as the show’s first related series, House Of The Dragon, premiered in 2022.
The show is set roughly 200 years before the start of the main series and features an ensemble cast that includes the likes of Paddy Considine, Matt Smith and Emma D’Arcy.
House Of The Dragon has received critical acclaim ever since its release, and its second season is set to premiere this June.
Another Game Of Thrones spinoff entitled Bloodmoon, entered the development stage in 2018, although it was shelved the following year.
