Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been told to sell the team by furious fans after their humiliating 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Jones, a billionaire who bought the team in 1989, was celebrating his 82nd birthday on Sunday but watched on at AT&T Stadium as his Cowboys team got destroyed.
In a game that was marred by a horrific injury to Lions star Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit dominated on the road as the Cowboys lost their fourth consecutive home game.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who signed a four-year contract extension worth over $240million this summer, threw two interceptions and zero touchdown passes.
The Cowboys’ chances of reaching the playoffs already look slim now and the one-sided loss on Sunday was the final straw for many fans.
