‘So many said I should dye it back to the dark brown hair I had, “i look old , why am I succumbing to being an old lady , it’s not attractive etc etc”

‘But times a changing innit and I’m so happy with what’s transpired and I’m so comfortable now

‘I dunno but I reckon my head feels better without the 2 weekly roots dye … and that is positive no harsh chemicals no colour protecting shampoo just like it was when I was younger … anyway I thought I’d share’.

Despite Shobna saying fans had been negative about her new do, several took to the comments of her latest post to say she looked ‘gorgeous’ and they ‘wished they had the guts to do it too’.

‘Wow! That is so beautiful! I can’t wait for my hair to be fully changed; I think it looks lovely; You look gorgeous… wish I had the guts to do it too; Love your hair colour!! ❤️ I’m going to do this one day! Xx’

‘You look fantastic. I think it suits you, I’d love to be brave enough to embrace the grey; I think the natural look, looks fab on you x; Some people really suit silver hair and you’re definitely one of them; It really suits you. Don’t dye it!’

In 2021, Shobna spoke to Platinum magazine about her age and looking older, explaining: ‘I don’t want to have to look a certain way, or how people perceive I ought to look.

‘I think having my grey hair is deeply empowering because when people say to me, “Oh, you don’t look your age,” I can say, “Well, I am.”
