 Food Network star Darnell Ferguson has been arrested on multiple serious offenses including two felonies and five misdemeanors.

The 36-year-old television personality – also known as SuperChef – was booked into Louisville Metro Jail in Kentucky on Tuesday afternoon according to TMZ on Wednesday.

He was booked on two felonies – burglary and strangulation – a representative told the publication.

In addition he also faces five misdemeanors including: assault, menacing, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and theft receipt of stolen credit and debit card.

The site reports that they do not yet know the circumstances for his recent legal troubles but have made an inquiry to the Louisville Metro PD.

Ferguson is an active personality on the Food Network as he currently hosts SuperChef Grudge Match. 

The series pits two chefs against each other who have personal and professional feuds which they settle in ‘one-round, one-dish, winner-takes-all heavyweight battles.’

The star has been a staple on the network as he co-hosts Worst Cooks In America alongside Anne Burrell in addition to appearances on Chopped, Supermarket Stakeout, Tiny Food Fight, Guy’s Grocery Games, and Tournament Of Champions.

He also is featured on the network’s social media and has a presence of his own. 

Ferguson has also appeared on HGTV including Home Town Takeover and The Big Holiday Food Fight. 

He formally owned restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky called Super Chefs and That Drippin Crab. 

The television personality began cooking in high school as he was inspired by Emeril Lagasse’s series Emeril Live.

He  was even chosen as one of 20 student chefs who cooked for Team USA during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.

Ferguson has had run-ins with the law previously as he was previously arrested for selling drugs and has went to jail six times.

However he turned his life around through his cooking and eventually began a television career. 

His website says: ‘Prior to being on national television shows, SuperChef had a life filled with adversity. He used the culinary arts as a motivational tool to change his life for the better and now SuperChef shares his gratitude for his blessings by continuously giving back to the community.’
