A cold-hearted United Airlines flight attendant has sparked outrage after she allegedly refused to help a disabled woman before trying to get her kicked off the flight.
On Monday, a distraught witness shared a Reddit post about an elderly passenger being tormented by a ‘super defensive and aggressive’ flight staffer.
The vulnerable woman was a first-class passenger sitting at the plane’s bulkhead, where this is no storage underneath the seats.
Only carrying a tiny purse and a foldable walking cane, she kindly asked the flight attendant to help her move her items to the overhead storage area.
The harmless interaction quickly turned sour when the attendant allegedly lashed out on the woman for her simple request.
The employee allegedly shouted: ‘ABSOLUTELY NOT, I CANNOT DO THAT DUE TO UNION REGULATIONS, WHAT IF I GET INJURED, MA’AM, MAAAAAAM!!!’
Maintaining her composure, the passenger said she is a frequent flier and has never been denied help from a staff member.
She went on to explain she was only asking because she is disabled and could not get to the overhead bin on her own, according to the social media post.

While flight attendant continued throwing a fit in the middle of the aisle – calling the woman ‘unreasonable’ – a bystander took matters into his own hands, helping the shell-shocked passenger himself.
‘The [flight attendant] then angrily slammed the bins closed and stomped back to her jump seat,’ the Redditor explained.
With all the bins closed and everyone seated, the aircraft taxied away from the gate and was ready to take off – but the drama was far from over.
The pilot made an intercom announcement saying ‘there had been an incident and we’re heading back to the gate,’ according to the post.
After returning to the gate, security guards reportedly approached the helpless passenger, telling her the flight attendant was uncomfortable because she was ‘talking down’ to her.
‘Everyone around was stunned – it was exactly the opposite (the FA was the one who was being aggressive and yelling at this poor old lady),’ the Reddit witness reacted.
Video shared alongside the Reddit post showed the woman speaking with security, although it is unclear what they were saying.
The guards soon realized the woman was clearly no threat to anyone on the plane, allowing the aircraft to pull away from the gate for a second time.

Internet users were outraged by the Reddit thread and called out the flight attendant for being rude
Just as they were taking off, the rude flight attendant made the safety announcement in an ‘eerie, overly cheerful, almost sociopathic-sounding voice I’ve ever heard,’ according to the Reddit post.
‘Honestly, I feel so bad for the disabled lady. It was heartbreaking to watch someone who just needed a little help get treated like that,’ the fellow passenger continued.
‘Even if the [flight attendant] can’t do it, she could’ve calmly said “I’m so sorry, I’m not allowed to do it, maybe someone else can assist” rather than get super [aggravated] and call security.’
The user’s testimony garnered more than 8,800 reactions and more than 1,100 comments from people left absolutely stunned by the brazen flight attendant’s alleged behavior.
‘This employee needs to be removed from service, one commenter wrote. ‘Being abusive under the cloak of authority is one of the worst traits in a human. Doubly so when done against a handicapped and elderly person.’
Another person claimed the attendant was on a ‘power trip,’ while several others urged the witness to report the situation to the airline.
‘I’m sure you could file an anonymous report. Flight attendants like that don’t deserve their jobs,’ someone suggested.

Many users urged the anonymous witness to report the incident they shared online
‘I’ve literally never seen [a flight attendant] not help in this exact situation,’ one baffled Reddit user chimed in.
Others attacked the flight attendant’s character, calling her a ‘complete psycho of a human being’ and ‘unhinged.’
