Five Nights at Freddy’s claimed the crown at the box office for the second weekend in a row. 

Despite a huge 76% drop off from its debut on October 27, the horror film starring Hunger Games’ Josh Hutcherson managed to rake in another $19.4 million in its sophomore outing.

The video game adaptation bested Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which remained in second place, collecting $13.5 million in its fourth weekend of release.

In third place, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro added $7 million to its total.

Five Nights at Freddy’s has a domestic total of $113 million to date, and after 10 days of release, it’s already become the highest-grossing horror film of the year, beating out The Nun II ($85 million), M3GAN ($95 million) and Scream VI ($108 million), according to Variety

Horror heaven: Five Nights at Freddy’s has a domestic total of $113 million to date, and after 10 days of release, it’s already become the highest-grossing horror film of the year

The movie was simultaneously released on Peacock, and broke a record for the steaming service as well. 

The domestic numbers puts the film in a tie with Black Widow for the largest-ever opening for a day-and-date release – which means a movie debuts in theaters and on streaming the same day. 

The Blumhouse and Universal Pictures film has officially had the biggest five-day debut of any Peacock title, according to a press release from Universal. 

The company also maintained the flick dethroned the five-day viewership totals for Halloween Ends and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Jason Blum, the founder and CEO of Blumhouse, said that the revenue generated from the sale of streaming and theatrical distribution rights for Five Nights at Freddy’s had already exceeded its production expenses, per his recent interview with Fortune.

The movie had a reported production budget of around $20 million. 

It also secured the biggest opening ever for Blumhouse, outperforming the 2018 Halloween remake. 

The movie adaptation of the iconic video game series, created by Scott Cawthon in 2014.

Elvis fever: Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla Presley biopic Priscilla placed fourth, earning $5 million

It follows the story of a troubled security guard named Matt Schmidt, who embarks on a new job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, an abandoned theme restaurant that features a group of possessed animatronics. 

Alongside a local police officer (Elizabeth Lail) and his younger sister (Piper Rubio), Mike soon discovers the gig isn’t going to be a walk in the park. 

Meanwhile, Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla Presley biopic Priscilla placed fourth, earning $5 million.

In fifth was Spanish-language film Radical, which earned $2.7 million and knocked Exorcist: Believer into sixth place.
