A Ferrari driver has wrecked his £250,000 luxury car in a crash on a 20mph road in north London.

Shocking photos show the crumpled wreck of the Ferrari 296 GTB with its boot open and a missing wheel.

The black supercar, which can reach speeds of 63 mph in 2.9 seconds, collided with a white mercedes while on a 20mph road in Islington on Friday at around 1pm.

The 296 GTB can reach top speeds of over 200 mph and is said to have one of the most powerful engines Ferrari have ever produced.

An air ambulance attended the scene where one man was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital.
