A dad was left shocked and angry after an abusive note was left on his car when he parked in a space reserved for parents.
The father had parked his car at Mandurah Forum, south of Perth, when he discovered the letter on his vehicle.
‘Don’t park here again, you selfish p****!’ it read.
His wife took to social media to express her outrage at the ‘egotistical Karen’ who left the note, even though her husband had every right to park there.
‘My husband was putting a baby gate in the boot while I was in the forum changing our 7 month old baby,’ she wrote on Facebook.
‘He came back into the forum looking for me.. when we returned someone had put this (note) on our windscreen??

‘How about next time you be sure before insulting an innocent husband and father you hero.’
The note, which was scrawled onto a piece of cardboard, left her husband ‘hurt and almost feeling guilty’, she said.
Her post sparked a heated debate, with some questioning why such assigned spaces are needed in the first place.
‘As a mum of just a five-year-old, I personally don’t see the need for parent spaces. They are not any bigger, just more convenient. Kids need exercise and prams have wheels, not hard to walk,’ a woman said.
‘I personally think (there) should be seniors bays instead, they are less mobile and struggle to walk long distances. Give them the spots.’
Another commenter pointed out that ‘it’s not illegal to park in those bays whether you have a baby or not’.
‘There is no law for who can park in parents with prams spaces they are just convenience but anyone can park there and use,’ a similar comment said.
‘Never had them in my generation and we coped, and there are so many of these parks now,’ another said.
Others said the person who left the abusive note should not have jumped to conclusions about the man using the spot.
‘I have a disabled sticker, yet if you see me you’d think “why?” — but I have multiple issues and can’t walk very far before my spine locks up or both my knees seize up or all together,’ they wrote.
Some people suggested that others not judge whoever wrote the note too harshly.
‘Hot weather sometimes brings out the worst in people. Don’t let it ruin your day,’ one wrote.
Others said the parents parking bay made no difference to them.
‘I park in the parent bays even if I don’t have a kid. My time is valuable,’ a commenter said.
There were also some humorous comments, with the funniest being the person who wrote ‘I’m all for making them Karen Bays so nobody else has to deal with the c*** and they will feel special enough to leave everyone alone.’
