A man has been arrested over claims he attempted to drown his children at a beach in Connecticut.
Screaming was heard by a West Haven Police Department officer who saw an adult ‘deliberately drowning his children’ in the water at 2.30am on Saturday.
Backup officers were called to the scene near Ocean Avenue and Dawson Avenue and rescue boats arrived before the children were pulled from the water.
Emergency services conducted ‘life saving measures’ and the kids were taken to hospital where they are in an intensive care unit.
Romney Desronvil, 42, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of attempted homicide and two counts of risk of injury, according to WTNH.
