The families of hostages still held by Hamas marched on The Hague yesterday – demanding the International Criminal Court arrest the group’s leaders.

They called for justice as lawyers filed a report that accused the terror state of war crimes, including sexual violence and torture.

The group of more than 100, which included hostages freed in November, believe that issuing arrest warrants would put pressure on Hamas to free the remaining 134 captives.

The elder sisters of Liri Albag, 19, whose plight was highlighted in a powerful Daily Mail article last month, waved copies of the story at the rally.

Her sister Roni, 25, a law student, said: ‘We are here today to be part of the prosecution against Hamas, against what they did to us on October 7. They murdered, they raped, they killed innocent people. We must stop Hamas from what they are doing – it is crime against humanity.’

Legal proceedings began in December when the ICC’s chief prosecutor, Britain’s Karim Khan, was handed evidence from the lawyers representing hostages’ families. The report listed Hamas’s crimes dating back to October 7 and includes testimonies from freed hostages about sexual assaults against women still in captivity.

It is up to Mr Khan to decide whether to issue arrest warrants against specific Hamas leaders.
