After President Trump signed an executive order to impose 25 percent tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, as well as hitting China with a 10 percent tariff, Americans were left panicked and wondering how it would impact their shopping habits.
Trump is also ending a loophole that has allowed the two companies to flood the United States with extremely cheap fast fashion.
Chinese fast fashion giants Shein and Temu have been caught in the crosshairs of Donald Trump’s tariff wars.
FEMAIL spoke to fashion experts to find out why shopping American-made brands is beneficial – and the best celebrity-beloved ones to buy.
Chicago-based stylist Tania Dudu told FEMAIL, ‘The recently imposed tariff law will have a significant impact not only on local fashion brands but also on American manufacturing as a whole.’
‘The increase in import costs will lead to higher prices for international and mass-market brands, potentially driving greater demand for American-made brands,’ Tania explained.
‘However, many American brands also rely on overseas production and materials, meaning shifts in infrastructure, rising costs, and relocating production will be inevitable for some,’ the stylist warned.
From a classic sneaker brand to sustainable A-list approved options, here are the best American labels to avoid Trump’s tariffs.
