Ant and Dec have revealed Tony Bellew was ‘absolutely furious’ behind the scenes after he lost Friday night’s trial in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
The former boxing champion, 40, was visibly outraged after learning he had lost out on the Breakfast of Champions in a last-minute defeat by Frankie Dettori and the rival ‘Home Team’.
As the hosts revealed the results, Tony could be heard shouting: ‘That is a load of b***ocks. We need VAR’ before the hosts jumped in to rush the show forward and the opposite team’s cheers drowned him out.
But Dec revealed after the show came off air Tony, who was convinced he and Hollyoaks’ Nick Pickard had won the challenge Handball, was ‘absolutely furious’ at the outcome.
Dec, 48, said: ‘He was like, “That’s not right. They’re doing that because they want to see a fat man starve!”

Dec continued: ‘If Tony has to do the drinking challenge he’s going to punch me in the face. I mean, he can’t even eat beans.’
Ant said: ‘He’ll knock both of us out. Can we not do it, can’t we send in a VT of ourselves?’
Viewers were given the chance to vote for a celebrity to undergo Sunday’s Bushtucker Trial called Drown Your Sorrows in which they have to polish off a drink made of animal insides named after famous faces in sports such as the Jill Scott.
After the arrival of latecomers Tony and Frankie, the campmates were split into two – the Home Team and the Away Team – and have been competing in challenges to win the Breakfast of Champions and other edible bonuses.
In one challenge called Handball last night Tony and Nick Pickard, 48, went up against Frankie, 52, and First Dates’ Fred Sirieix, 51.
During the challenge, Tony kept declaring his team was 100 points ahead already and was bound to win.
He came out smiling and saying, ‘There’s no question that we won,’ then returned to his camp and told them they would be enjoying a meal soon.
