They both starred in Cameron Crowe’s ill-conceived 2015 romantic comedy Aloha.
And Emma Stone and Bradley Cooper were back together again when they caught up at the 96th Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Monday.
The 35-year-old actress and the 49-year-old actor-turned-filmmaker looked overjoyed to see each other as they shared a hug and posed for some beaming photos at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The two are nominated for multiple Oscars this year, with Stone scoring two nods for her science fiction–fantasy film Poor Things, while Cooper earned three nominations for his Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro.
Emma looked effortlessly chic in a black double-breasted suit with an intriguing zipper and cream-colored peaked lapels.

The two stars shared a sweet hug and looked overjoyed to see each other after starring in the 2015 rom-com Aloha
Aloha, directed by Cameron Crowe, starred Cooper as a military contractor while Stone played his Air Force liaison who falls in love with him during his work trip to Hawaii
She wore her red-dyed hair tied back in a casual ponytail, and she elevated her 5ft6in stature with a set of classic black pumps.
Bradley was dressed more casually in a tasteful gray sport jacket that he paired with olive-colored trousers.
He wore a white button-up shirt underneath and layered it with a cozy charcoal sweater.
The Guardians Of The Galaxy voice actor completed the ensemble with brown suede shoes that appeared to have gotten wet on the toes, though that may have been a stylistic choice.
He and Emma were clearly happy to see each other, and they leaned in for a big hug, with the actress resting her head delicately on his shoulder and closing her eyes.
She was seen from another angle wrapping her hands around his torso and laying her head on his other shoulder so that they could still face each other while chatting.
The two stars worked together extensively in 2015 on Aloha, which arrived just as they both entered a new level of fame.
Bradley led the film as Brian Gilcrest, a former soldier now working as a military contractor with a billionaire (Bill Murray) hoping to develop a space center in Hawaii.
Gilcrest is instantly drawn to his Air Force liaison, Captain Allison Ng (Stone), but things get complicated when he runs into his now-married ex-girlfriend Tracy (Rachel McAdams).
The film also featured Alec Baldwin, John Krasinski and Danny McBride in supporting roles.

Critics weren’t please with the film, and it currently has just an 18 percent rotten rating from the most prestigious critics surveyed by Rotten Tomatoes.
Several reviewers complained about the films cringy, overly sentimental tone, and many felt that its story was far too meandering.
Others criticized Stone — who has European ancestry — for playing a character who is part Hawaiian, and Crowe — who also wrote the screenplay — was blasted for casting her over a Hawaiian or Asian actress.
The film only grossed about $26 million against its $37 million budget, which would have been even greater when factoring in promotion and advertising costs.
Despite the potentially bad memories, Emma and Bradley looked excited to be near each other again.
She stars in Poor Things as Bella Baxter, a woman in a fantasy version of Victorian London whose body is brought back to life after killing herself with the brain of a baby, forcing the new woman to learn motor skills and social niceties all at once.
Willem Dafoe costars as a horrifically scarred scientist who revives her, while Mark Ruffalo plays a comic Don Juan who finds himself obsessed with the rapidly maturing Bella.
Bradley has been nominated for his Netflix biopic Maestro, which he directed, co-wrote and stars in.
He plays the conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein from his early days as a rising star to the end of his life, thanks to incredible prosthetic work.
Rather than focusing on his accomplishments as a conductor, composer and music educator, Maestro hones in on Bernstein’s marriage to Felicia Montealegre (played by Carey Mulligan) and their conflicts over his sexuality and proclivity for multiple — and often young — male lovers.

Emma has been nominated for two Oscars: Best Actress for her lead role, and Best Picture, as she is a producer on Poor Things.
Bradley is up for three prizes: Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay (for his work with Josh Singer) and Best Picture for producing.
He was also joined in producing the picture by legendary filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, a classical music buff who had originally considered directing the project before handing it off to Bradley.
The 96th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 10, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and they will be telecast on ABC.
