alert-–-elle-fanning-reunites-with-nominated-sister-dakota-at-the-2025-golden-globes-in-gold-and-red-gownsAlert – Elle Fanning reunites with nominated sister Dakota at the 2025 Golden Globes in gold and red gowns

Dakota Fanning reunited with her younger sister Elle Fanning at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, which were held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

The former child stars – aged 30 and 26 – struck a pose wearing gorgeous red and gold gowns at the annual ceremony where the Hollywood Foreign Press Association honors the best of film and TV.

The Georgia-born blondes co-founded their production company Lewellen Pictures in 2021, and they’ve ‘been working on it for the last few years.’

‘Of course, we started as actors, and I think we both have this desire to develop our own projects and be really a part of things from the ground up,’ Dakota (born Hannah) explained on The Tonight Show last March.

‘And, um, we’re super close, so I, uh, can’t – I would never do it with anyone else. It has to be her.’

The Fanning sisters were joined at the glamorous CBS/Paramount+ telecast by their beloved grandmother, Mary Jane Odum.

Dakota looked leggy in a red strapless gown, featuring a matching scarf and ankle-strap heels selected by stylist Samantha McMillen.

The Perfect Couple star wore her signature flaxen locks down and she matched her lipstick to her striking dress.

Fanning was nominated for best supporting performance in a series for her role as wealthy socialite Marge Sherwood in Netflix show Ripley.

‘What an absolute thrill and honor it is to be nominated for a Golden Globe alongside such incredible company,’ The Watchers actress gushed on Instagram December 9.

‘The opportunity to be in Ripley, and to play Marge, has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I am so happy to share this with Steve, every single member of the team behind the scenes, and the brilliant Andrew Scott. My Marge doesn’t exist without his Tom. Thank you so very much!’

But Dakota wound up losing the trophy to Baby Reindeer actress Jessica Gunning.

Both Fannings were thrilled to pose with the legendary Glenn Close, who previously co-starred with Dakota in Rodrigo García’s 2005 multi-story drama Nine Lives.

At 5ft9in, Elle (born Mary) towered over the 77-year-old Deliverance scene stealer, whom she appeared to gush over on the red carpet.

The Emmy-nominated actress – who also relies on stylist Samantha McMillen – was her usual effervescent self posing in a custom recreation of a Pierre Balmain haute couture FW/53 ball gown.
