Kyle Walker won a court battle against his ex-partner Lauryn Goodman today after a judge ruled in the footballer’s favour in a high-stakes child maintenance case.
Walker, who shares four children with his wife Annie Kilner, was embroiled in a paternity scandal earlier this year when it emerged he had fathered a second child with influencer and model Goodman.
The Manchester City star, 34, was dramatically revealed as the father of Goodman’s second child, a girl, four years after they welcomed a son, Kairo.
As the case drew to a close today, takes a look at the most dramatic moments of the pair’s high profile showdown.
Goodman hiding under a coat
Goodman hid from the cameras under a coat as she arrived for the courtroom battle with her England star ex-lover earlier this month.
The influencer could be seen concealing her face as her assistants held the item of clothing over her head as they entered court on July 16.
Walker doing the coffee run
Walker was spotted doing the coffee run during a break from his courtroom showdown with Goodman earlier this month.
The star was seen stepping out of a Caffé Nero holding a tray of four coffees as he swapped the iconic white England shirt for a smart suit and tie.
In January it emerged that Walker, who is married with four children, had fathered a daughter with Goodman, four years after they had a son together.
Goodman’s very pointed necklace
Goodman arrived at court one day wearing a large necklace with a ‘KW’ pendant – seemingly standing for Kyle Walker.
The influencer paired the accessory with a V-neck satin shirt, white trousers and a black blazer.
The necklace seemed an unusual choice given that the pair are no longer together, with Walker claiming that his wife Annie is his soulmate.
Walker: ‘I hope you enjoyed yourselves, I won’t be coming back’
After the pair’s two-day court fight came to a close today, Walker told journalists outside: ‘I hope you enjoyed yourselves – I won’t be back here again.’
A spokeswoman for Walker told : ‘This judgment speaks for itself in laying bare Lauryn Goodman’s insatiable greed and relentless pursuit of money.
‘The judge made it clear: she used Kyle as an open ended cheque book and repeatedly threatened him in order to get what she wanted.
‘She then orchestrated a media campaign to feed intolerable and wrongful intrusion into the private lives of Kyle, Annie and their young family.
‘Throughout each court proceeding the judge stated that Kyle adopted a fair and generous stance. These proceedings were never necessary.
‘Kyle’s offer should have been accepted months ago and would therefore have eliminated the need for added stress to all involved.
‘In light of this judgment and the truths it makes public, my client and his family now ask that the media fully respects their rights to a private life as they navigate their next steps.’
Walker: ‘If I was a painter and decorator this wouldn’t have gone this far’
Walker himself summed up the situation regarding his courtroom showdown with Goodman, claiming: ‘If I was a painter and decorator I know this wouldn’t have gone this far.’
Walker today slammed the ‘insatiable greed’ of Goodman after a judge ruled in his favour in the child maintenance battle.
The star claimed the extraordinary court judgment exposed the influencer’s ‘relentless pursuit of money’.
Goodman’s £31,000 astro turf dreams
Goodman argued she needed a £31,000 astro turf because she believes her one-year-old daughter Kinara – who is still crawling – is going to become a ‘Lioness’.
Goodman’s demand for a £70,000 Mercedes
Goodman demanded a £70,000 Mercedes and another £30,000 car for her nanny – who couldn’t even drive.
Hot tub, gardening and cleaning costs
Goodman also argued she needed £500 a month to maintain a hot tub solely for the children’s use, another £500 a month for a gardener a £1,440 a month for a cleaner.
