Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba was left ‘taken aback’ by Anna Delvey’s ‘dismissive’ exit from the show.
Delvey and her pro partner Ezra Sosa were the first to be eliminated from the competition’s 33rd season on Tuesday night along with actress Tori Spelling and partner Pasha Pashkov.
When co-host Julianne Hough asked Delvey what she was going to ‘take away’ from this series, she bluntly replied: ‘Nothing.’
The answer left the audience shocked, with fans flocking to X (formerly Twitter) to slam Delvey’s ‘awful’ attitude.
‘I was taken aback by her comment when asked what she learned from being on the show, and she flatly said, ‘Nothing,” Inaba, 56, told Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday.

Fans threaten to stop watching Dancing With The Stars after shock eliminations
‘That was dismissive not only of the opportunity she was given, of her wonderful and supportive partner Ezra in his debut season, but also of all of us who work on the show-from the dancers to behind the scenes to the creative team.’
Despite Delvey’s checkered past, Inaba insisted that the show did all it could to make sure her experience was ‘fair.’
‘We all put in the effort to give her a fair opportunity. But I don’t think she could see that and it’s a shame,’ the professional dancer said.
‘A little gratitude could have changed the narrative.’
DWTS co-host Alonso Ribiero had tried to salvage Hough’s post-elimination chat with Delvey by playfully telling the socialite: ‘You had fun. Stop it. Stop it.’
Anna’s blunt response was the complete antithesis to that of her fellow contestant Tori, who said appearing on the show was an ‘unbelievable’ experience despite her early week two exit.
Naturally, viewers were in hysterics over her cutting words and flocked to social media where they branded the moment the ‘funniest ever live TV response.’
‘My husband said it was his favorite DWTS moment ever,’ said one Reddit user. ‘Feel bad for Ezra and hope he gets a good partner next season.’
‘Why does she act like she was forced to do this show,’ another wrote with a laughing emoji.
A third added: ‘The funniest response I’ve ever seen on live TV. I feel for Ezra, he went all in.’
‘I couldn’t help but respect the honesty,’ continued a fourth.

‘This was awfullll (sic) omg I audibly gasped and covered my mouth at that answer,’ a fifth said.
‘Ezra is a real one for his reaction and ability to laugh it off. Also, girl don’t talk about trying to redeem yourself when you… don’t… do anything to redeem yourself based on your behavior on this show.’
Others were equally as shocked.
‘I almost spit my drink when she said that,’ one admitted.
Defending Anna’s answer, another said: ‘I mean honestly do we expect a different answer… homegirl was there for like 5 minutes.’
Ezra said the response was ‘typical’ of Anna, later telling Extra TV: ‘I knew she was going to say something very iconic and something very Anna Delvey with her exit.
‘Of course she has to. It’s typical.’
Anna received a score of 17 out of 30 for her quickstep to KT Tunstall’s Suddenly I See from The Devil Wears Prada on Tuesday night.
Judge Inaba told her to stop holding back.
‘You have the potential to go far if you just embrace it more,’ she said.
Tori danced the rumba with Pasha Pashkov to the song This is Me from The Greatest Showman and received 19 out of 30.

The judges’ scores combined with the audience votes were not enough to save Anna and Tori and they were voted off.
Before her DWTS debut, Anna was convicted of grand larceny after posing as an heiress. Her life was portrayed in the Netflix show Inventing Anna.
On Tuesday night’s episode, Ezra asked Anna, who refers to herself as a fashionista and entrepreneur, during practice about how she felt after her week one cha-cha routine to Sabrina Carpenter’s song Espresso.
‘After dancing I was really happy but when I went online reading all the comments I was really upset,’ she said.
Anna said The Devil Wears Prada was one of her favorite movies and that she worked in fashion for 10 years.
Actress Julia Fox, 34, then stopped by her practice session to cheer her up.
‘It’s sad to see all the people being so nasty because if it were their sister or their mother they would be all for a second chance,’ Julia said in a confessional.
‘You are going to win over America’s hearts,’ Julia said to Anna.
‘It’s been a hard week,’ Anna said. ‘Hate never stopped Miranda Priestly and it’s never going to stop me.’
