Police have rushed to a London hospital after a ‘violent incident’ involving a man sent its A&E department into chaos.
It is understood officers attended Kingston Hospital in south west London after a confrontation on Monday.
An incident involving a prisoner unfolded which prompted a significant police presence at the NHS premises on Galsworthy Road.
A Met Police spokesperson told : ‘Officers attended the hospital to transport a man, who had allegedly been acting aggressively, to court.’

The prisoner had been in custody throughout the weekend and later became involved in an argument, UKNIP reported.
During the incident, patients were advised to remain in secure areas while police were present on site.
Kingston Hospital’s X/Twitter account said: ‘Our emergency department is very busy today.
It is understood the incident involved a prisoner who was being held in custody
‘If you need urgent care you may be seen more quickly at Teddington UTC, open until 8pm.’
NHS authorities and police are understood to have launched an investigation into the incident.
