Donald Trump’s favorite A-lister has doubled down on her endorsement of Kamala Harris for US President – after the Republican admitted his love for the star.

Julia Roberts. 57, who has been campaigning for Harris and vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, caught the ire of Trump after she urged wives of his supporters to secretly vote for Harris in an advert for evangelical group Vote Common Good.

After Trump branded her ‘cringe’ and said he was ‘disappointed’ in her for narrating the video, Roberts has taken to Instagram to encourage others to vote for Harris once more.

The star dressed in a T-shirt with the word POTUS and the female gender symbol on it, along with an I Voted sticker.

She wrote: ‘There is a time to hope, there is a time to pray and there is a time to vote. Today is the day!’ – before closing the comment section.’

In the advert released last month, a husband and wife – both sporting stars and stripes caps and apparently Donald Trump supporters – are seen heading into a voting center.

The husband says ‘Your turn honey’ as the woman walks into a booth.

Catching eyes with another female voter across the room, she smiles and casts her vote for Harris-Walz.

Roberts narrates: ‘In the one place in America where women still have a right to choose, you can vote any way you want and no one will ever know.’

As the women leave after voting, the husband asks: ‘Did you make the right choice?’ and she responds: ‘Sure did, honey’ before sharing a knowing look with her friend.

Roberts continues: ‘Remember what happens in the booth, stays in the booth.’

Vote Common Good says they are working to help Evangelical and Catholic voters find an ‘exit ramp’ from voting Republican.

Trump took umbrage at Roberts in an awkward chat with Fox and Friends, saying: ‘I’m so disappointed at Julia Roberts because I love…’ before stopping herself.

He added: ‘She’s going to look back at that and cringe that, did I really say that? It doesn’t say much for her relationship but I’m sure she has a great relationship.

‘Even if you have a horrible — if you had a bad relationship, you’re going to tell your husband. That’s a ridiculous ad. It’s so stupid. You’re going to look back some days and just say, did I really make that?’

Roberts is married to Danny Moder and the pair share three children.

Last month Roberts championed for women’s reproductive rights ahead of the crucial 2024 United States presidential election.

The actress spoke on stage at the Harris-Walz reproductive freedom rally in Georgia’s fiercely conservative Cherokee County.

The Smyrna, Georgia native was joined by the state’s Democratic Party leader Stacey Abrams during the high-energy rally.

Georgia recently reinstated its strict ban on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy — two years after the Supreme Court’s controversial overturning of Roe V. Wade.

Rape, incest and the health of the mother are all listed as ‘exceptions’ to the six-week abortion ban.

Roberts said it took her 10 hours to make it to the event but that she’d ‘do it all over again’ to inspire the ‘brave’ men and women in attendance.

She kicked off her impassioned speech by sending ‘prayers’ to those affected by powerful Hurricane Milton, which made landfall in Tampa Bay, Florida on Wednesday night.

She then explained that her parents were ‘activists’ who encouraged her to be a ‘conversationalist’ who takes interest in those who think ‘differently’ than her.

‘Clearly we all [in this room] feel the same way [politically],’ she quipped before encouraging fellow Democrats to ‘talk to all the people’ in their lives despite political differences.

‘Maybe they don’t understand things quite the way you do. Bring them into a conversation. Make sure they’re registered to vote – even in they’re not voting for the person you think they should vote for.

‘It is the United States of America and we’ve been lacking in the ‘united’ part for so long,’ said Roberts, earning herself a round of applause from the audience, as per Fox 5.

Roberts said she ‘believes’ in the state of Georgia and applauded those who turned out for the rally.

‘I believe in Georgia. I wouldn’t have come home if I didn’t believe that we can accomplish really beautiful goals that will extend beyond our state’s borders.

‘I just hope that all the women here tonight talk to all the men that aren’t here tonight. And all you brave men who are here tonight, talk to all the other men who aren’t here tonight.’

Roberts has been historically vocal about her liberal politics, having previously endorsed Democrats Barack Obama and Joe Biden for president.

As polls are set to close tonight with just hours to go, top pollster Nate Silver finally revealed his final prediction of the 2024 election.

Silver says it’s ‘literally closer than a coin flip,’ as what could be the closest election in U.S. history comes to a close Tuesday.

But in the end, he thinks that Democrat Kamala Harris will come out on top, but only by a small percentage in the majority of his matchups.

‘The race is literally closer than a coin flip: empirically, heads wins 50.5 percent of the time, more than Harris’s 50.015 percent,’ Silver said on Tuesday morning.

According to his model, Harris won the Electoral College in 50.015 per cent of the simulations compared to Trump’s 49.985 per cent.

That equates to Harris winning 40,012 simulations to Trump’s 39,718.

He added that he had never seen anything like this during his years of predicting elections.
