Former President Donald Trump skewered President Joe Biden’s border plan as a ‘conspiracy’ to destabilize the United States during a rally Saturday night.

The campaign event in Richmond, Virginia, drew thousands of enthusiastic Trump fans to the commonwealth’s capitol. Supporters of the former president came from all over the state and lined the blocks around the convention center hours before he was set to deliver remarks.

Shortly after taking the stage to loud applause, the former president turned his attention to Biden and his ‘open border policies.’

‘Biden’s conduct on our border is by any definition a conspiracy to overthrow the United States of America,’ Trump told the audience

‘They are dumping their prisoners into our country, doesn’t this stupid guy get it?’

‘You know what they are calling them, newcomers!’ Trump continued, poking fun at the Biden administration’s recent move to relabel immigrants.

‘From now on, you have to call them newcomers,’ he joked, adding if they don’t ‘you will be indicted by the DOJ in Washington.’

‘Does everyone agree with them?’ he asked.

‘No!’ the audience roared back in response.

Many voters at the rally who DailyMail.com spoke with agreed with the president, saying border security is the most pressing issue in the upcoming election.

‘Immigration is number one,’ Duchess, a Virginia voter, told DailyMail.com.

Dave, of Woodbridge, Virginia, similarly said his top priority is fixing the ‘immigration problems were having right now.’

Dave and Duchess are not alone, though, as many voters have said border security is their top issue in 2024.

Americans now say immigration is the top issue facing the nation — with 28 percent of voters calling it the main concern, ahead of the state of the government and the economy.

Additionally, a recent poll released this week found that a majority of U.S. voters now want a barricade along the U.S.-Mexico border, an issue Trump ran on in 2016.

Over 7.2 million migrants have entered the U.S. since Biden took office, many of them entering the country illegally between ports of entry

And Trump’s border security message may be working.

The former president had a super Saturday, winning the primaries in Idaho, Missouri and Michigan.

Trump’s victories in those states mean the former president remains undefeated in primary or caucus contests this year.

He previously won the primary races in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Nikki Haley, meanwhile, is still looking to win her first primary election.

She has previously told voters that she would stay in the race until Super Tuesday, which is in just three days.

Super Tuesday will see 16 states and American Samoa get their chance to vote for who should be the Republican presidential nominee.

It will be the biggest test so far for either candidate, though Trump is widely expected to win.

‘Three years ago we were a great nation and soon we will be a great nation again,’ Trump said closing his remarks Saturday.

It was his second campaign rally of the day after earlier holding a campaign event in North Carolina.

Republican Reps. Lauren Boebert and Matt Gaetz were also in attendance at the rally.
