An urgent search continues for a young schoolgirl who’s been missing in Brisbane for more than 36 hours.
The girl, 11, left a Pine Mountain Road home in Carina Heights in the city’s south-east 6am on Monday.
She was captured on CCTV carrying a skateboard at an Upper Mount Gravatt shopping centre two hours later at 8am and hasn’t returned home or been in contact with her family since.
Police and family have serious concerns for her welfare due to her behaviour being out of character and her young age.
She is described as Caucasian, 140cm tall, slim build and blonde/brown hair.
She was last seen wearing black shorts with blue trimming, a black pullover jumper, and red and black TN shoes.
She is known to frequently use public transport.
A public appeal shared by Queensland Police attracted more than 1,500 Facebook shares within several hours.
Police urge the girl, or anyone who has seen her, to immediately come forward.
