Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert attended the star-studded launch of Hulu on Disney+ in Los Angeles on Friday — just hours after announcing that Erbert is ‘cleared’ to dance again four months after she suffered a cranial hematoma.
The 29-year-old professional dancer and her 38-year-old husband appeared to be in high spirits at the event, as they flashed a pair of wide smiles while posing for a duo of photos.
Erbert – who made her official return to red carpet events last month – stood out while wearing a white button-up shirt that had been tucked into a floral-print dress at the event.
She completed her look with high-heeled shoes and a pair of chic earrings, while Hough opted for a light blue double-breasted jacket and matching pants.
On Friday, the couple formally announced that Erbert, 29, would be rejoining Hough, 38, on the Symphony Of Dance tour in just over a week.

‘Hi everyone, I am so excited to announce I have been cleared to rejoin the Symphony Of Dance tour, and I will be dancing when the tour begins April 14th in Melbourne, Florida,’ Erbert told fans.
‘We cannot wait to dance together again on stage and be back with all of our fans and thank them,’ Hough chimed.
‘Thank you all for the amazing support you’ve shown during this time,’ the Dancing With The Stars pro and judge added. ‘So, we cannot wait, and we will see you very very soon.’
All the smiles and happy news is a far cry from when Erbert was rushed to the hospital following a tour performance in Washington, D.C. in December, where she was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel.
As a result, she had to undergo a craniectomy, which is where a section of the skull is removed to help relieve any extra pressure on the brain, according to Cedar Sinai.
Just weeks later, she had to have cranioplasty surgery to ‘replace a large portion of her skull’ that had been removed during surgery.
As her road to recovery kicked off Hough decided to postpone the tour to be by his wife’s side in order to offer her any help or support she needed at the time.
‘What a blessing (and surprise) it is to be able to be back on stage dancing with my love after such a crazy past four months,’ Erbert shared in a separate post on her Instagram page on Friday. ‘My healing journey has been nothing short of extraordinary and being able to dance again is igniting my soul in all the ways; speeding up my recovery even more.’
Feeling grateful, she went on to thank all the medical professionals for contributing to her speedy recovery.
