David Walliams left Ed Kavalee red-faced on Have You Been Paying Attention? on Monday night.
During the panel quiz show guest host Grant Denyer asked about Ed’s history with the Little Britain star, 53, and it soon went horribly wrong.
‘Ed you were telling me earlier that you and David have actually worked together… what was said thing, can you remember?’ he asked, as poster from an event Ed hosted with the English funnyman flashed up on screen.
‘We’ve met before?’ David replied to laughs and giggles from the panel.
Comedian and fellow panellist Sam Pang then decided to make fun of the interaction.
‘Looks like you’ve interviewed David on stage one on one and he doesn’t remember,’ said Sam, 50, as the audience roared with laughter.
Sam then asked how long Ed and David spent together while they collaborated on the show.
‘It was a day together… it was two shows. And if we could move on, that would be great,’ Ed suggested awkwardly.

Sam then declared: ‘This is the greatest moment in the history of the show.’
It comes after the shock axing of Ed’s 2Day FM Hughesy, Ed and Erin breakfast radio show.
Ed was dumped from the airwaves in August, along with his breakfast co-stars Dave Hughes, 53, and Erin Molan, 40.
2Day FM announced the axing of its trio of hosts on August 8, informing listeners that they opted to pull the plug on the show and replace it with night shift larrikins Jimmy Smith and Nath Roye, who were hosting The Jimmy and Nath Show.
‘We’ve met before?’ David replied to laughs and giggles from the panel
‘We’ve loved our time together on 2DayFM Breakfast, however, due to some of our families living in different cities we are unable to commit to 2025,’ Hughsey, Ed and Erin said in a statement.
‘So with a heavy heart we are moving aside so 2DayFM can find the team to take them forward in Breakfast.’
The news came after the GfK Radio 360 Survey 4 saw Hughesy, Ed and Erin drop 1.4 points to a 3.6 market share earlier in the year.
