An Ohio dad was arrested after repeatedly calling his son’s school to complain about the amount of homework he was being set.

Adam Sizemore, 37, from Oxford, was charged with telecommunications harassment and menacing after bombarding Kramer Elementary School with his phone calls.

Criminal complaints filed against Sizemore claim he also threatened the school principal, saying he’d ‘better get his big boy pants on’ which led to the school official fearing violence, WXIX reported.

According to a police report sent to Today by Oxford Police Department, Sizemore was making the repeated complaints from February 29 ‘because his son gets homework which takes away from the time he has with him after school’.

The dad was trying to reach Principal Jason Merz, who was unavailable, before he began directing his nuisance calls to school office.

‘During these conversations, Sizemore cursed at the secretaries while making demands of them,’ the police report states.

The officer said that he noted that Sizemore’s speech was slurred, and asked Sizemore if he was intoxicated.

Sizemore clarified that he was ‘high’, reported Today.

The calls kept coming in, and on March 1, Merz told police that Sizemore said in a voicemail: ‘I hoped that you put on your big boy britches on today and have a conversation like a big boy.’

Merz told officers that he was concerned about Sizemore potentially entering the school.

Two officers then reportedly paid a visit to Sizemore’s home but he did not open the door.

But when one officer returned to Kramer Elementary School, Sizemore was still calling.

The report stated that Sizemore eventually got through to Merz – but the principal quickly hung up the call after the infuriated dad began cursing at him.

When the school stopped answering Sizemore’s calls, detectives from Oxford Police Department said he began calling them.

‘He calls dispatch, I think it was 18 or 19 times, roughly,’ said Oxford Police Detective Sergeant Adam Price.

‘It was disruptive,’ Price told Today.

‘This is a a K-5 school so there is not an abnormal amount of homework,’ he added.

The dad can be heard on audio recordings becoming agitated as a dispatcher refused to tell him their name.

The dispatcher could be heard telling Sizemore to leave the police chief a voicemail if he wasn’t answering his call, to which he responded: ‘I’m being very nice’.

The dispatcher offered Sizemore the opportunity to come to the station where they would call the chief in so the pair could communicate in person, but Sizemore completely lost his temper.

‘He can come to my f****** house. I pay for him. He can come to my house,’ Sizemore was heard saying.

Following more repeated calls to the station, Sizemore was still unable to reach the police chief.

But a dispatcher told the furious dad they would send out officers to speak with him after his repeated calls.

‘That ultimately ended when we took him into custody for telecommunications harassment as well as a menacing charge,’ Price explained.

Price told Today that if Sizemore is found guilty of his charges –  two counts of telecommunications harassment (a first-degree misdemeanor) and one count of menacing (a fourth-degree misdemeanor) – he faces a maximum $1,000 fine and up to six months in jail for each count of telecommunications harassment.

For the menacing charge, Sizemore faces a $250 fine and up to 30 days in jail.

Following his arrest, Sizemore was taken to the Butler County Jail, but Price revealed he is no longer in custody.

Speaking to Today, the dad said: ‘I’m a single dad of a boy and a girl and I’m just trying to do the best I can and that’s all I can do. People make mistakes.’

Sizemore is due to appear in court on March 28.
