Criss Angel stepped up to help subdue a belligerent man during one of his recent performances at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
According to a police report, obtained by TMZ, a man, named Brandon McDonald, ‘was asked to put his phone away but wouldn’t comply.’
Ultimately, an eyewitness explained ‘words were exchanged and then things eventually escalated to McDonald allegedly throwing punches.’
The attendee went on to tell the outlet that ‘all hell broke loose as security came to remove the man’ and ‘another ticketholder was assaulted’ following a ‘scuffle.’

At this point, McDonald, who was sitting in the second row, reportedly ‘tried to grab one security guard from behind,’ which prompted Angel to get involved.
The 56-year-old magician (born Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos) is said to have ‘stepped in to subdue’ McDonald and assist him out of the theater.
TMZ reported that while McDonald was arrested for battery, Angel seamlessly continued his show.
Angel, who is one of the world’s most successful illusionists, is best known for starring in the series MINDFREAK and his stage show Criss Angel MINDFREAK LIVE! (previously Criss Angel Believe).
According to Newsweek, he brings ‘an estimated $150 million a year into’ Las Vegas’ local economy.
2019 marked the end of his 10-year run at the Luxor, before his big move to the Criss Angel Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Las Vegas.
He is also the bestselling author of Criss Angel MINDFREAK: Secret Revelations.
Over his career, Angel has received a number of honors, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Brotherhood of Magicians in 2018 and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In November, he proposed to ex-wife Shaunyl Benson over a romantic dinner.

Upon announcing the news that Angel had proposed, Benson shared a video of her looking shocked as Angel slid a massive engagement ring on her finger.

The couple, who first wed in 2015, share three kids: Johnny, nine, Xristos Yanni, four, and two-year-old Illusia.
In 2022, their eldest child entered remission after years of battling cancer and 1,095 chemotherapy sessions.
