Alexis Wilkins was an up-and-coming country music artist just three years ago when her life changed after a chance meeting with a future director of the FBI.
Now, she’s the focus of wild conspiracies involving millionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Israel and what is being dubbed as one the largest cover-ups in American history.
But in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Wilkins, 26, shrugged it all off. For she and FBI Director Kash Patel, 45, may have bigger fish to fry, like potentially planning a wedding.
‘We are on a good path,’ Wilkins said when asked if an engagement is in the pair’s near future, noting that they’ve had a few months to ‘live our lives a little bit and have a normal life’ after the whirlwind that engulfed the first six months of President Donald Trump’s second term.
With a hint of a smile, Wilkins said she and Patel are now able to ‘start things that have been delayed by business and extenuating circumstances.’
The two met by chance three years ago at a mutual friend’s house party in Nashville, where she lives.
‘Funny enough’ she says, Wilkins wasn’t planning on attending a friend’s party, but she changed her plans at the last minute.
Today, Wilkins splits her time promoting her growing music career in Nashville, Tennessee, and in Washington DC with Patel.
As FBI director, Patel has been at the center of the storm around the Trump administration’s withholding of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
During his Senate confirmation hearing, he pledged to uncover and make public all details on who was included in Epstein’s pedophile ring.
‘You’re going to get all that information,’ Patel said as recently in June 2025 on podcast host Joe Rogan’s show about the circumstances leading to Epstein’s death. ‘That’s literally what we’re putting together.’
But weeks later, all hell broke loose when Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi released a memo denying that Epstein’s ‘client list’ exists and stating that he killed himself in jail.
And Wilkins has ended up collateral damage in the crossfire.
Angry MAGA critics have accused her of being involved in the Trump administration’s ‘cover-up.’
Online conspiracies are gaining traction falsely claiming that Wilkins – who is a devout Christian – is actually a Jewish Mossad spy.
Wilkins hosts a show on the conservative nonprofit media organization PragerU, whose CEO Marissa Streit is a former Israeli army intelligence officer.
One X user recently wrote: ‘Well, well, well… Now it’s starting to make sense. Kash Patel’s girlfriend is a Jewish ‘country singer’ and works for Prager U, run by Dennis Prager whose CEO is a known former Mossad operative.’
‘Epstein Island was a blackmail operation for Mossad,’ they added.
‘The fact that people are trying to point to anything other than just the actual facts of everything is pretty thin,’ Wilkins lamented to the Daily Mail.
She has also been accused of being a ‘honeypot,’ a spy who uses romantic tactics or sexual relationships to influence actions or compromise targets with access to intelligence.
Their 19-year age gap is fueling the tin foil hat conspiracy which she fiercely denies.
She told the Daily Mail it would have been a ‘huge long-game’ since she was dating Patel for years before he became FBI director.
Wilkins said that the redirection of attacks has been so harmful she’s had to censor out the word ‘honeypot’ from her social media comments.
‘I’ve blocked the word “honeypot” from my Instagram comments, if that tells you anything,’ Wilkins told the Daily Mail.
‘I think that it started with people wanting to find – and really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find – a justification for the fact that they don’t have this [Epstein] list in their hand and they will go find it with pitchforks.’
‘There are a lot of people in this administration with age differences. There are a lot of people out there with age differences,’ she told the Daily Mail.
One example of this is White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, 27, whose husband Nicholas Riccio at age 59 is 32 years her senior. The two welcomed their first child in January 2025.
‘I feel like [within] a couple minutes talking to me, you probably couldn’t picture me dating a 26-year-old,’ Wilkins noted. ‘So it’s always made a lot of sense to us and our friends and everyone around us. And there’s really no need to justify things like that.’
Meanwhile, Wilkins says she and Patel have found their cadence despite their jet-setting schedules.
If she’s in DC, Patel is off to the FBI headquarters bright and early to complete a workout with agents at the Hoover Building.
Wilkins hits pilates and the two convene later to cook dinner and eat together.
When back in Nashville, she’s working on music, her show and her many advocacy projects.
Her music career in Nashville is starting to take off as she blends distinct country twang with lyrics that echo patriotic and nostalgic American themes.
Her portfolio has amassed millions of listens on Spotify and her biggest hit ‘Love Me’ has more than 479,000 plays.
Wilkins is an activist for conservative causes – from veterans’ issues to Second Amendment rights. She also serves on the National Rifle Association committee for women, youth and membership.
And then there’s her budding media career.
Wilkins is a contributor for right-leaning websites Townhall, Daily Caller and Business Insider and has done speaking engagements with conservative groups, like the Young America’s Foundation.
The country music artist and conservative speaker noted that she didn’t receive an ‘intro to how your life will change’ course when Trump nominated her boyfriend to run the investigative arm of the Department of Justice.
‘I just do my life. You know, it’s not really anything different,’ Wilkins explained.
