Fox Sports want legendary coach to join NFL Sunday analyst team… after he missed out on Falcons job despite being CONVINCED he would get it

Bill Belichick is being lined up for a possible reunion with Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski after being overlooked for the Falcons job, DailyMail.com can reveal.

The legendary boss, who left the Patriots earlier this month after 24 seasons, had been expected to take over as head coach in Atlanta.

Belichick, 71, had two interviews – including a one-on-one meeting with Arthur Blank aboard the Falcons owner’s yacht.

Instead, the job went to Raheem Morris and now Belichick could soon work alongside Brady and Gronkowski once more.

Together, under Belichick in New England, quarterback Brady and tight end Gronkowski won three Super Bowls between 2014 and 2018.

These days, ‘Gronk’ is a regular NFL contributor on Fox, while Brady has signed a 10-year, $375million deal to work for the network from next season. And Belichick could soon join them behind the microphone while he waits for another coaching opportunity to open up.

‘Bill was convinced he was going to get the Falcons job and now his options to coach next season are slimming by the minute which now may lead him to a reunion with Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski for the next year while he waits for a coaching job opening,’ a source told DailyMail.com.

‘Fox brass are considering throwing an offer to Bill to become a panelist and they would love to have him on Fox NFL Sunday, which would have him join Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady.

‘Fox is talking about getting the band back together and will be offering him a job if he doesn’t sign with an NFL team this upcoming season.’
