A Pierce County Corrections Deputy has been jailed after he allegedly ran over his ex-girlfriend’s head with his truck outside a bar, leaving her with horrific injuries.
Cameron Boucher, a 22-year-old deputy, who had been on the job for less than six months, now finds himself facing serious charges with his freedom and employment hanging in the balance.
The horrifying incident occurred around 1:50am on New Year’s Day in Tacoma, Washington State, in a parking lot next to the Steel Creek Bar.
According to probable cause documents obtained by Fox 13 Seattle, Boucher had been drinking heavily before the altercation with his ex.
Witnesses say he had consumed several shots of liquor before staggering out of the bar and heading to his truck to drive home.
Moments later, the night took a chilling turn when Boucher’s ex-girlfriend approached him in the parking lot but fell to the ground near his truck.
Authorities allege that Boucher, impaired by alcohol, backed up his vehicle, running directly over his ex-girlfriend’s head.
The victim’s injuries were severe leading to multiple facial fractures.

The chaos didn’t end there. As the victim lay injured, her friend rushed to her aid, only to find themselves involved in a physical altercation with Boucher.
Witnesses described a frenzied scene as bystanders tried desperately to stop the deputy from leaving.
According to the report, Boucher smelled strongly of alcohol and during a subsequent breath test blew twice the legal limit.
He then failed a field sobriety test administered by officers at the scene.
The victim was rushed to a hospital for emergency surgery.
Boucher was still on probation with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and had not yet graduated the law enforcement academy after joining in August.
He was arrested and charged with vehicular assault.
