alert-–-corrections-and-clarificationsAlert – Corrections and clarifications

A column on 5 April by Boris Johnson said that, according to the BBC, the Prime Minister had “personally mandated” that schools screen the TV drama Adolescence in every classroom. We are happy to clarify that, while the BBC did report that the PM had “plans to work with” Netflix to show the series – and while he did say that young people “should be watching” it – Sir Keir does not have the power officially to order schools to do so and the author’s intent was satirical in suggesting that he did.
