Claudia Karvan pulled out all the stops as she joined her Bump co-stars at the long-awaited premiere of the fifth and final series of the n fan favourite show.
The n actress, 52, co-created and starred in the long-running Stan series but stepped out in Sydney to bid farewell to her hugely popular show on Wednesday night.
She put on a stylish display as she joined the cast and crew at Barangaroo’s outdoor cinema Mov’in bed to celebrate the ending of the comedy/drama series.
For the occasion, Claudia looked effortlessly glamorous in a maxi dress with a lace bodice and a pink floral skirt as she posed up a storm at the outdoor event.
Claudia – who stars as Angie Davis on the show – gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of slingback heels as she posed for photographs with her castmates.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail at the premiere, Claudia admitted she was very emotional when they filmed the final episode of Bump but is also ‘relieved’ it is now over.

‘I feel proud, happy and relieved. We’ve got off at the right stop I think,’ she said.
‘There were a lot of tears [when we wrapped] but we’ve all got friendships outside of work now so we’re not going away, we’re got getting out of each other’s lives!’
Claudia said she already has plans to reunite with the Bump cast on screen and is currently writing a mystery new project with hopes of lining them all up to star in it.
‘I’ve got an idea already, it’s in the works, it might be on the way next year,’ she teased of her future plans.
She said she won’t be losing touch with her Bump castmates anytime soon despite the show ending and hopes to remain a mentor to leading star Nathalie Morris, who plays Oly.
‘It’s real, it’s an authentic bond, particularly with Nat. I love them all, but she is my TV daughter,’ Claudia shared.
‘Whether she likes it or not, I’ll be ringing her and giving her advice, and asking her for advice!’
The fifth and final season of Bump sees Claudia’s character Angie continuing to battle cancer and she hinted it will not be an easy journey in the coming episodes, which will be released on Boxing Day.

‘The journey my character went on was intense so I felt a little bit like I needed to recuperate,’ Claudia said, revealing she skipped the show’s wrap party to recover from the emotional scenes.
Though fans are devastated that Bump is coming to an end, one of its leading stars confessed he hasn’t even watched all of the first four series yet.
Angus Sampson, who plays Claudia’s on-screen husband Dom Chalmers, revealed he has only watched the first two seasons so the series isn’t really ending for him yet.
‘When does something end? I don’t know. I’m only up to season two, I haven’t watched anything beyond that so for me, I’m rationing it,’ he admitted.
‘I might get to like 2037 I reckon by the time I get to the new season. But it’s always a joy to watch Claudia on screen in everything she does.’
However, he was quick to add that he still feels ‘sentimental’ about the thought of the cast not being together anymore as he joked that he probably isn’t in the Bump cast group chat – if one exists.
Angus said working on Bump was his first job in in eight years – since starring in Mad Max: Fury Road – as he gushed over how ‘humbled’ he felt to have been included in the cast.
Also in attendance at the season five premiere was former wheelchair tennis player Dylan Alcott, who took on his first ever acting role in Bump when he joined for series four as Marcus.

A sportsman by nature, Dylan, 34, revealed he loved every second of working on a film set and plans to continue acting in the future as he hinted at a career change after his 2021 retirement from professional tennis.
‘I’d been on set before as an athlete but not as an actor and I bl**dy loved it,’ he told the Daily Mail.
‘It was a good test to me to see if I loved being on a set every day, and I really did so hopefully I’ll have more opportunities soon.’
Referencing the growing trend of celebrities launching acting careers, Dylan insisted he put in the work to hone his acting skills and even took lessons to prepare for the role because he didn’t want to be like every other famous star.
‘I didn’t want to be that famous guy that just goes ”I can act”, I’ve done lessons and classes and I’ve got an acting coach,’ he confessed.
‘I tried to do the best that I can and everyone was really accommodating.’
‘The biggest challenge was everyone is a really, really good actor and I was like ”what am I doing?” when I first got there,’ he went on.
‘Then I realised that everyone was so accommodating but I could also hold my own.’

Dylan said he was pleased his first acting role was on Bump and discussed the show’s groundbreaking representation, sharing his pride that he can provide the positive disability representation on screen that he never had a child.
‘[Acting is] something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid, I really struggled with disability representation on screen,’ he shared.
‘Whenever it was, it was always super negative and sad and not people being themselves. So that’s why I started doing acting and when Claudia and Kelsey [Munro] called me with a role, I couldn’t believe it!
‘The only representation I saw as a kid was a road safety ad where someone drink-drives, has an accident and the next thing you see is someone in tears.
‘I was like ”that’s not my life!” but people believe that is our lives. But one of the cool things about Bump, we had a meeting and I was like ”push the boundaries and take risks”.’
Dylan said he even got the chance to write some of his own jokes and do his own stunts as he told how he encouraged co-creators Claudia and Kelsey Munro to ‘push’ expectations with his character.
‘Often, if you’re an able-bodied person writing a disabled character, you’re not sure what you can and can’t say, but I was like ”no let’s push it” and it was so cool,’ he said.
‘I even do my own stunts in this season!’
Alongside Dylan, comedian Steph Tisdell also joined the cast of season four as Shauna Johnson and admitted it felt ‘weird’ to wrap up filming on Bump after just two series on set

He said his one regret was that Marcus had to have an ‘abrupt’ ending on Bump because of his prior commitment to travel to Paris to commentate for Channel Nine at the 2024 Olympics.
‘I had to go and host the Olympics on Nine, so I couldn’t do the whole season. I had to have an abrupt ending, but I wish I could have stuck around and done a bit more to be honest,’ he shared.
Alongside Dylan, comedian Steph Tisdell also joined the cast of season four as Shauna Johnson and admitted it felt ‘weird’ to wrap up filming on Bump after just two series on set.
‘It was a great show to work on but I’m just a bit sad that I definitely won’t get to act on it again,’ she shared.
‘It does feel weird because I only came in on season four so I feel like so much was built and now – I’m in it for a bit and then I leave, but it was really good to work on.
‘It was odd for all the reasons that you’d think it was odd, but what made it cool was that then I thought ”cool, I have the opportunity to bring something that doesn’t already exist”.
‘That’s exactly what you’re there for, to shake up the dynamic.’
However, things weren’t always plain-sailing on set as Steph hilariously admitted to one major faux-pas that occurred while she was filming the fifth season of Bump.
There was also a love story which formed during filming, as Christian Byers found real-life romance on Bump as he teased he met his partner on set
Hilariously deeming it her show ‘highlight’, Steph told how she accidentally stepped in dog faeces directly before filming, leading to a very awkward moment on set.
‘In this season, there was a scene we did where just before we started filming, I stepped in dog s**t. The worst part about it is that wardrobe have to take care of it,’ she recalled.
‘I was like ”guys, there’s dog s**t on my shoe, can you take care of it?” and everyone is like ”oh for f**k sake”.
‘Then for the rest of that scene, it smelled like s**t, so I kept on ad-libbing and going ”oh Oly did you step in s**t” and we were crying with laughter the entire time trying to get the scene done.
‘That was my highlight, just sitting in a van that smelled like dog s**t and making the wardrobe team clean my dog s**t shoes.’
While there no shortage of amusing moments on set, there was also a love story which formed during filming, as Christian Byers found real-life romance on Bump.
Speaking to Daily Mail , his co-star Nathalie told how she has recently relocated to Melbourne to be with her partner Stevie Cruz-Martin and wants Christian to move as well, but he is staying in Sydney for love.
She teased that Christian met his mystery partner on the set of Bump, with the actor then hinting that fans should watch episode four of the show to find out more.

Gushing over his new partner, Christian confessed that everyone on set noticed the chemistry between them long before he did as he discussed falling in love on the show.
‘It was really cute! A lot of people were commenting on the chemistry on set. [It took me] about a week [to clock on],’ Christian – who plays Bowie Chalmers-Davis – shared.
Christian said Nathalie – who he lived with while filming season five – was the first to notice sparks flying between him and their co-star as he shared details about his love life.
‘Nat has a photo of me on the couch at the apartment the day after, and I was like ”I’m falling in love!”,’ he shared.
Nathalie then said: ‘You were like ”what is happening?! It’s so painful”.’
With Christian adding: ‘It’s a real testament to the debilitating power of love in its early stages.’
The brand new season of the Stan Original Series Bump will premiere on Boxing Day, all episodes at once. Every episode of Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 are now streaming, only on Stan.
