Christine McGuinness has been hit with a legal challenge over her own cosmetics brand called Goddess.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star received legal papers from a Sportwsear brand, after she attempted to trademark the term Goddess by Christine McGuiness.
Al Yoga, a Los Angeles-based sportswear brand loved by Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber, has filed papers to oppose the application, The Sun reported.
The firm is reportedly worth £7.5billion.
The company already uses the term Goddess for a range of £58 tops and £118 leggings, and they want to stop Christine from using the word for her brand.
The application is still being considered by lawyers at the government department, who are yet to make a ruling on Al Yoga’s opposition, The Sun reported.
It comes as amid Christine’s already complicated divorce battle with Paddy McGuinness.
She is planning to sell make-up, perfume, nail varnish and beauty products under her Goddess brand.
Sales of her fitness brand VIBE have slumped, with £50 sets of workout leggings and tops failing to sell.
She had planned to follow up the range with wellness products, work-outs and lifestyle tips and hints, but poor sales have put the idea on hold.
In her first collection, Christine had released a range that started from a size 6 and went up to a size 18, including leggings with a high waistline for tummy control and a scrunched backside.
She promoted the collection on an Instagram page, where she received positive comments from her followers.
The page amassed 16,000 followers but the account has not posted since December 2020 and documents show that the firm was later dissolved by bosses at Companies House.
The reality TV star is also enduring a challenging time at home.
Christine and Paddy split in 2022 after 11 years of marriage but remained living together in their £6million 12-bedroom mansion for the sake of their three children who have autism.
Christine, 34, revealed that it was a ‘difficult time’ for her to decide to divorce TV presenter Paddy, 51, but there was ‘no repairing’ the relationship.
Paddy is now selling their seven-bedroom marital home for £6.5million.
The TV presenter, 51, put the sprawling mansion on the market amid claims from sources close to Christine, 36, she is ‘miserable’ and ‘desperate to sell up’ rather than continuing to cohabit the house with Paddy and their three children.
Model Christine previously feared moving house would bring unwanted upheaval to the lives of Felicity, eight, and 11-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, as well as herself.
But the dynamic in their relationship has clearly changed in recent months sparking Paddy, who kept the Cheshire property as part of his divorce settlement finalised in October last year, to put the house up for sale.
The former Top Gear host is hoping to make a £4.4million profit after purchasing the home for £2.1million back in 2020.
He and Christine spent months renovating the property before moving in to cater for the needs of their young family.
Christine reportedly signed up to appear on Celebs Go Dating amid her split from husband Paddy.
And the model’s rumoured quest for love will see her head abroad as the E4 show heads to the Spanish island of Ibiza for the time.
A source told The Sun: ‘Show bosses are delighted to have snapped up Christine, they think she’ll be great on-screen and appeal to lots of other women in their thirties dating after getting a divorce.
‘Fans will see a new side to Christine too as she opens up about her personal life and films coaching sessions with the show’s dating experts.
‘Christine has been open on social media about how she found spirituality and healing in Ibiza, so she’s thrilled to be working over there.’
Filming for the popular show is set to begin in May, with the series hitting screens later this year.
