A Christian minister has claimed that God sent a warning to him in a dream last week that concerned the Key Bridge in Baltimore.

Dutch Sheets had been speaking on the Victory Network when he spoke about the Dali crashing into the Francis Scott Key Bridge on Tuesday.

Six construction workers who had been repairing potholes on the bridge at the time are still missing and presumed dead following the incident.

During a discussion with host Gene Bailey, Sheets told the ‘Flashpoint’ show that had a dream involving the bridge that was a ‘warning’.

The author and minister said: ‘I received a dream sent to me a week ago, and its the only dream I’ve ever received in my life that had the national anthem.

‘In the dream I was in the capitol building, and I stood up with a guitar and I strum the key of C and I begin to sang the national anthem.

He continued: ‘It was all about removing the delusion, obviously a warning, obviously connected to the nation, this bridge and this dream.

‘What God is saying is he wants us to cry out, continue to cry out, for the breaking of the delusion over America so that we see clearly and that we have authority to break this spell of delusion.’

His remarks have been widely condemned on social media after footage from the show was shared on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

One person posted: ‘So why didn’t he say anything to save the six lives lost?’

Another commented: ‘Sure he did. The first question I present to this claim: if true, then why didn’t he contact the port, the DOT and the Governor of Maryland to warn them?’

While one other commented: ‘Wow. Why didn’t he tell us about this before it happened?’

The Coast Guard announced on Tuesday evening that they would ending their active search for the remaining six, after two of them were rescued by teams.

Rear Adm. Shannon Gilreath said that due to the period of time in the water ‘we do not believe that we are going to find any of these individuals still alive.’

Miguel Luna, 49, had been one of those construction workers and is presumed dead alongside his colleagues.

His wife, Maria del Carmen Castellon told Telemundo 44: ‘They only tell us that we have to wait, that for now, they can’t give us information.

‘[We feel] devastated, devastated because our heart is broken, because we don’t know if they’ve rescued them yet. We’re just waiting to hear any news.’

A second man, Maynor Suazo, 37, a native of Honduras was identified in his homeland as another worker who is missing and presumed to be dead.

Maynor Suazo’s brother, Martin, told Honduran television that his brother emigrated in order to ‘improve the quality of his life.’

The crew on board the ship were also labelled heroes by Maryland Governor Wes Moore on Tuesday afternoon, after issuing a mayday.

This allowed authorities to limit traffic on the span at the time, according to Governor Moore.

As the vessel neared the bridge, puffs of black smoke could be seen as the lights flickered on and off.

The 948ft vessel, a Singaporean-flagged container ship, had a ‘complete blackout’ before Tuesday’s collision in Baltimore, according to an expert.

Clay Diamond, executive director of the American Pilots Association, said to CNN that the pilot quickly handed out a string of orders to try to prevent the catastrophe .

These included dropping the anchor and attempting to pull the ship around, as well as calling the dispatch office to shut down traffic to the bridge.

Diamond told the outlet: ‘Those were all the appropriate steps, but it happened so quickly and with so little lead time, neither one of those maneuvers were enough.’

The extreme size of the ship and its proximity to the bridge meant there was little hope in avoiding the devastating collision with the bridge.

With the ship barreling toward the bridge at ‘a very rapid speed,’ authorities had just enough time to stop cars from coming over the bridge, Governor Moore said.

President Joe Biden, announced on Tuesday that the government would pay the full cost to replace the bridge and insisted it was an accident.

Biden vowed to move ‘heaven and earth’ to get one of the world’s busiest ports reopened.
