San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey could soon be tying the knot after his fiancee Olivia Culpo revealed that the ‘countdown’ to their wedding is on.

The running back has been dating the Sports Illustrated model for nearly five years and McCaffrey proposed back in April 2023.

Now Culpo, the 2012 Miss Universe, has dropped a huge hint that the big day is not too far away.

‘The countdown is on,’ Culpo, 31, told People. ‘It’s happening.’

‘I’m looking forward to marrying my best friend,’ she said. ‘I’m very excited for that next chapter, and I feel very lucky. He’s a great guy.’

Culpo has previously given fans hints of what to expect on the wedding day. Back in March she said she wanted the couple’s toy golden doodle Oliver Sprinkles to be part of the ceremony.

‘I really want him to be the ring bearer,’ she wrote.

The model recently said that deciding on the guestlist has been ‘by far the hardest part’ of planning the wedding.

‘It’s just logistically complicated,’ she told People.

‘Figuring out what everyone’s going to wear, figuring out, figuring out where everyone’s going to stay, making sure that everybody’s happy.’

McCaffrey played a starring role as the 49ers reached the Super Bowl in February, only for San Francisco to lose in overtime to the Chiefs.
