A sign with a chilling five-word message was found at a house where three children and a woman were found stabbed.
NSW Police were called to a horrific scene when they arrived at Jamieson Avenue, in Sydney’s Baulkham Hills, at 5.20am following reports that multiple people were stabbed.
A 10-year-old boy, 13-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl and 46-year-old woman were taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
The three children and adult are known to each other.
The 46-year-old woman was taken to hospital under police guard. No charges have been laid. A crime scene was established and an investigation launched into the matter.
There was a picture in the house with the words: ‘This is my happy place.’
According to the Daily Telegraph website, the woman was stabbed three times in the stomach, the young boy was stabbed twice in the chest, and both girls stabbed three times in the arm and stomach.
It’s understood police will allege the incident was mental health related, and there’s no other people being investigated.
Hills Police Area Command Detective Superintendent Naomi Moore said on 2GB radio that the woman’s injuries were self-inflicted.
The woman was expected to be charged after being treated.
A neighbour said the eldest child was in a wheelchair.
