Cher is set to release her first greatest hits album in 20 years.
On Thursday, Warner Records announced that the music icon, 78, personally curated a special collection of 21 of her tracks, spanning the course of her decades-long career, that she has ‘beautifully remastered.’
The compilation album, titled Forever, will include a number of her biggest hits, including Believe, If I Could Turn Back Time, Song For The Lonely and The Way Of Love.
Additionally, DJ Play A Christmas Song, off her 2023 holiday album and a live recording of I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For will both be featured on Forever.
Forever, comes out on September 20, two months ahead of the release of of the release of her upcoming book Cher: The Memoir, Part One.

Per the press release, obtained by Just Jared, Forever’s ‘special double vinyl package will be printed on silver foil board with crystal clear translucent vinyl.’
It will also be or it will be also available on CD and can be preordered on CherForever.net.
The Forever Fan Edition digital release will also be ‘available on all streaming outlets on the same date includes 19 additional songs.’
Previously, Cher has released 27 studio albums, 11 compilation albums, two soundtrack albums, and three live albums.

A description from HarperCollins Publishers reads, ‘After more than seventy years of fighting to live her life on her own terms, Cher finally reveals her true story in intimate detail.’
The memoir will feature Cher’s ‘trademark honesty and humor,’ it was added.
It added: ‘With her trademark honesty and humour, Cher: The Memoir traces how this diamond in the rough succeeded with no plan and little confidence to become the trailblazing superstar the world has been unable to ignore for more than half a century.
‘Cher: The Memoir, Part One follows her extraordinary beginnings through childhood to meeting and marrying Sonny Bono.
‘And reveals the highly complicated relationship that made them world-famous, but eventually drove them apart.’
In the past she said she felt uncomfortable about revealing certain details.

‘I just totally chickened out because I guess I was, I don’t know what I was, I was just totally chickening out,’ she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
‘I didn’t put in some things that need to be in and they’re not comfortable, but they need to be in. So I have to go back and man up.’
And she said on The Graham Norton Show: ‘It is the hardest thing,’ she said. ‘I have lived too long and done so much, it is very hard to cast, and we haven’t even finished the script.’
Cher first announced she was writing an autobiography in December 2018.
