alert-–-charlamagne-tha-god-makes-shock-admission-about-trump:-‘how-much-did-they-really-believe?’Alert – Charlamagne Tha God makes shock admission about Trump: ‘How much did they really believe?’

Charlamagne Tha God sparked a backlash after U-turning on calling Donald Trump a ‘fascist’ and questioning how much Democrats ‘really believed’ the argument in the first place.

The radio host, 46, real name Lenard Larry McKelvey, took aim at the liberal meltdown over Trump’s victory on his show this week – despite previously making the same argument himself.

He told CNN two weeks ago that Kamala Harris ‘should keep calling Trump a fascist’ and said he ‘couldn’t believe we’re even thinking about electing’ him to a second term.

But following Trump’s landslide victory this week – which has notably not been met with the same widespread protests seen after his 2016 win – Charlamagne changed his tune.

‘Do y’all find it strange that now he’s won, they’re not calling him a threat to democracy, they’re not calling him a fascist,’ he said on his show. ‘It just makes you wonder how much of it did they really believe?’

In his CNN appearance, Charlamagne spoke after Kamala Harris stepped up her rhetorical attacks on Trump, comparing him to Adolf Hitler and repeatedly branding him a ‘fascist.’

Asked if he thought this was the right course of action, Charlamagne said he was all for it and insisted that she should ‘keep on’ the inflammatory remarks.

‘I think Americans need to keep looking at the rhetoric of Donald Trump,’ he continued.

‘Because I can’t believe we’re even thinking about electing somebody who’s talking about putting people in camps, I don’t know why we want to elect somebody who’s talking about mass deportations.

‘I don’t know why we’re having this conversation about somebody who wants to terminate the constitution.’

The contrast to Charlamagne’s remarks this week on his show circulated widely on social media after users compared his CNN rant to his far more complimentary tone post-election.

Speaking to his co-hosts about the fairly muted reaction to Trump’s victory, he asked: ‘Do y’all find it strange that now he’s won, they’re not calling him a threat to democracy, they’re not calling him a fascist.’

One guest chimed in: ‘They can’t! He’s the most powerful man in the world now!’

Charlamagne continued: ‘On Monday they were just calling him that, and I would think that if you really believed that, then somebody’s speech would be about how America f’ed up and how things are about to be really bad.

‘It just makes you wonder how much of it did they really believe? And how much was just politics.’

After a side-by-side comparison of Charlamagne’s remarks went viral this week, the radio host faced backlash from conservatives who called him out for the hypocritical stances.

One X user branded him ‘just another flip-flopping media puppet.’

‘No backbone, no independent thought. What Charlamagne is trying to say is that he feels dumb for falling in line with rhetoric that was obviously not true, yet he takes zero accountability for refusing to think for himself.’

Another argued that he ‘exposed himself just like the others of being a paid propagandist and a liar.’

‘At least he admits it,’ said another. ‘Many won’t.’
