Kendall Gilding has teased that she is lining up a major TV return after shocking fans by quitting Channel Seven.

The TV presenter, 32, stepped down from the network in December 2023 after 12 years to focus on her work as a social media influencer and columnist.

The ‘radical’ move stunned her fans and Kendall then removed all traces of her former employers on social media as she embraced self-employment.

But Kendall took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that she wants to return to TV screens as she shared her career plans for 2025 in a Q&A session.

When a fan asked what her New Year’s goals are, Kendall replied: ‘I want to do more TV work this year!’

Another fan asked her whether she misses working in television, to which Kendall confessed: ‘Every day.’

Kendall also revealed another major career change as she revealed that she wants to complete an esteemed training course for senior executives and company directors.

She said she wants to finish her course at the n Institute of Company Directors, which is well-renowned for advancing the skills of experienced directors.

Kendall already serves as a Board Director with Hockey Queensland and is an ambassador for Newstead Mazda.

Kendall began her journalism career in 2011 as a presenter on Brisbane radio station 96five Family Radio and later that year, she began working for Seven.

The veteran newsreader was then a very recognisable face on Channel Seven for 12 years before stepped down from her role in December 2023 in a ‘radical step’.

She then removed all traces of her former employers on social media, taking to Instagram in February to reveal that she had deleted the word ‘seven’ from her Instagram handle.

After quitting Seven, Kendall quashed rumours that she was leaving to become a full-time mother to her kids Olive, four, and Moses, one – who she shares with her husband Timothy Morgan.

‘I’m not becoming a stay at home mum, I don’t plan on leaving media. I’m looking forward to a huge 2024 – ready to work harder than ever! Stay tuned,’ she shared.

Just days before Christmas, Kendall suffered a huge personal tragedy after her husband Timothy was left with a broken back following a shocking beach accident.

Tim was seriously injured after being dumped by a rough wave into a sandbar at Burleigh Beach in Queensland.

He was rushed to hospital by paramedics in a neck brace and doctors initially feared that he wouldn’t walk again, with Kendall documenting his recovery on social media.

Tim has been left in a full upper body brace after being discharged from hospital, and he is soon returning for a check-up to see how his C6 and C7 vertebrae are healing.

In an update on Friday, Kendall told how Tim has been left in discomfort from the injury and has also been suffering from a cough for four weeks.

‘He wears a full upper body brace 24/7 including for showers and sleep,’ she shared.

‘He can only sleep on his back, which is very uncomfortable and he’s also had a bad cough for four weeks, so that is severely impacting his quality of life.

‘He can’t pick up the kids, can’t drive, can’t push his beloved lawnmower. But this a season and life will return to normal!’

At the time of the accident, Kendall revealed the extent of Tim’s injuries in a heartbreaking Instagram post.

‘On the weekend we went over to Burleigh beach for one final swim. A quick 10 minute adventure. That’s all,’ she shared.

‘Tim was badly dumped by a wave and went head first into a sandbar. What happened afterwards was equally as traumatic when be started blacking out on the beach. Grateful to the lifeguards!

‘If anyone knows the name of the chief lifeguard at Burleigh please let me know? He’s also a qualified paramedic. I want to thank him personally!’

‘Lots of people with these kinds of injuries don’t walk again. Praise God Tim will be fine and recover with time!

‘Christmas, school holidays and 2025 suddenly look very different, but we’ve got a beautiful village who are rallying to support us!’
