Kendall Gilding has given an update on her husband Timothy’s health after he broke his back in a shock beach accident.
The ex Channel Seven star, 32, revealed on Tuesday that Tim was seriously injured after being dumped by a rough wave into a sandbar at Burleigh Beach in Queensland.
He was rushed to hospital by paramedics in a neck brace and doctors initially feared that he wouldn’t walk again, with Kendall documenting his recovery on social media.
Now, Kendall has given an update on her husband’s health as she took to TikTok on Wednesday to share a video from Tim’s bedside in hospital.
She shared her relief that Tim will make a full recovery and be able to walk again but didn’t confirm how much longer he will be in hospital for.
‘It’s just been a weird, stressful time, but it will be all good,’ Kendall shared.

The ex Channel Seven star, 32, revealed on Tuesday that Tim (pictured in hospital) was seriously injured after being dumped by a wave at Burleigh Beach in Queensland
‘Praise the Lord that he can walk because lots of people that come in here with this kind of injury don’t walk out and he will walk and go on to live a normal life once his bones heal.’
Kendall also revealed that Tim wasn’t able to shower or sit up for days on end and had to be given sponge baths because he had to remain stationary.
‘Let’s talk about the funny things, Tim hates sand, hates it with a passion. How do I even get the family to do a beach holiday every year because he hates the sand so much,’ she said.
‘He brought most of Burleigh Beach into the hospital with him. When I entered emergency, you could follow a sand trail to his bed.
‘He had a bed covered in sand, he couldn’t shower for days, sit or stand or be in an upright position. He did get some sponge baths.’
Kendall went on to thank her fans for their support as she discussed some of the challenges she has faced while Tim has been in hospital.
She spoke about how difficult it has been juggling being with Tim in hospital with looking after their two children – daughter Olive, four, and son Moses, one.
‘The big challenges are really the fact that he is in the Gold Coast University Hospital and we live in Brisbane,’ she shared.

Now, Kendall has given an update on her husband’s health as she took to TikTok to detail their struggles during Tim’s hospitalisation and share that he will be able to walk again
‘We have two little kids and just having to commute down here – I know everyone already knows this, but the M1 is horrific.
‘If there was no traffic, door to door from here to our home is one hour. It pretty much consistently takes me an hour 40, no matter what time of day I go and it could be more than that.
‘Care for the kids is a huge challenge, just finding somewhere for them to go everyday and have them feel loved and looked after so we can focus on Tim during the day.’
Kendall also revealed they have had to cancel plans for Tim’s birthday this weekend as well as their Christmas celebrations due to his hospitalisation.
She admitted she hasn’t had the chance to do any Christmas shopping yet for their two children and said she hopes they ‘forgive’ her.
‘We will get presents under the tree but it’s just a weird time of year for something like this to happen,’ she continued.
‘The blessing is that we’re not commuting to work but the downside is that it doesn’t feel like Christmas anymore.
Kendall, who quit Channel Seven after 12 years in December 2023, also told how it has been challenging not working now she is self-employed.

‘I don’t sell a product, I am the product so if I can’t physically turn up anywhere, we have no income from me at all.’
Her update comes just one day after Kendall revealed the extent of Tim’s injuries after his shocking swimming accident during their annual beach holiday.
‘A heartbreaking end to our annual holiday. Or should I say back breaking? Maybe it’s too soon for jokes?’ Kendall shared in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
‘On the weekend we went over to Burleigh beach for one final swim. A quick 10 minute adventure. That’s all.
‘Tim was badly dumped by a wave and went head first into a sandbar. What happened afterwards was equally as traumatic when be started blacking out on the beach. Grateful to the lifeguards!
‘If anyone knows the name of the chief lifeguard at Burleigh please let me know? He’s also a qualified paramedic. I want to thank him personally!’
‘Lots of people with these kinds of injuries don’t walk again. Praise God Tim will be fine and recover with time!
