Hunted was a surprise reality hit for embattled network Channel 10 in 2022.
And now the popular show is back for a third season with a new title, Hunted : Million Dollar Heist.
Set to premiere on August 12, producers have included a sensational twist to the series’ format.
The first two seasons centred on a team of surveillance experts who ‘hunt’ 20 contestants out to evade capture over 21 days, with the final winners landing a cash prize worth $100,000.
According to TV Blackbox, the new season will see ‘Fugitives’ working in teams of two, who will set out on an adventure after ‘robbing’ a bank.
If they manage to escape the Hunters after 20 days on the run and reach the ‘extraction’ point, the contestants get to keep their loot.
Creators of the show have also introduced a new Chief.
n Defence Force veteran Reece Dewar, OAM will lead the Hunters this season after Dr. David Craig featured as Chief Investigator on the show during the first two seasons.

A new teaser trailer for season three shows fans can expect plenty of action, including a frantic pursuit through rugged bushland and a car chase.
The cast of Fugitives this season include best friends and Queenslanders Tayla, 24, and Jayde, 24, as well as cousins Ondeane, 49, and Shelli, 61 from WA.
Also out to escape with the loot are Deb, 41, and Andy, 44, a married couple from South , and pals Chelsea, 26 (Tasmania) and Romanee, 25 (SA).

Victorian best friends Joe, 38, and Akec, 31 will also been joining the chase, along with rally enthusiasts Tony, 58, and Kaylie, 30 from NSW, and married couple from Luke, 36, and Ben, 38.
Rounding out the cast are Queenslanders Lee, 33, and Jo, 25, and a father and daughter team from NSW – Bobby, 56, and Tanisha, 20.
Channel 10 were quick to commission a second season of Hunted in 2023 after the show’s debut series scored an average of 1.09 million viewers nationally across its nine episodes.

Hunted was also Channel 10’s most successful new launch since the first season of The Masked Singer in 2019.
It was a winner for streaming platform 10Play too, scoring its biggest catch-up audience since The Bachelor in 2020.
Rob and Stathi were crowned the winners during the nail-biting season finale of the first season, while Jimi and Holly walked away with the $100,000 in 2023.
