Sharon Osbourne opened up about her weight loss journey with Colson Smith on Monday’s Celebrity Big Brother after using controversial Ozempic drug to slim down.

The X Factor legend, 71, who has faced criticism over her slimmed down look after using the drug which is meant for diabetes, described losing weight as a ‘killer’.

In the latest episode, the music manager claimed people who don’t need to lose weight have ‘no idea what it’s like’ to drop the pounds.

Sharon spoke to Coronation Street actor Colson, 25, who lost an impressive 10 stone after healthily changing his lifestyle in 2020 by taking up running.

Colson, who plays Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, revealed he struggled with his weight when he was 18-years-old and was on a very ‘strict diet’.

He said: ‘I lost weight when I was 18 through a strict diet but then what I found was I was gaining weight and I wouldn’t eat for a day and a half and then I would be that hungry I would drive to KFC and order three meals and then I’d hate myself and then not eat again.’

Sharon replied: ‘People who don’t have to worry about weight have no idea what it’s like. At one point I was 230lb. It’s a killer’.

Colson added: ‘I am glad I have done what I’ve done and got the level of control. I now have discipline and my girlfriend is very supportive. If I’m having a bad day she tells me what I need to hear’.

Previously Colson spoke of how he used to go running in disguise and only at night as he was too ’embarrassed’ over his size prior to his 10 stone.

Sharon, who will be leaving the Big Brother house early after just one week, has already hit out at criticism over her slimmed down look before entering the ITV show.

The TV personality has been open about using the weight loss drug Ozempic, which is used to treat diabetes.

However, the music manager said she has since struggled to put weight on after shedding the pounds using the drug.

Speaking on Loose Women earlier this year, she said: ‘I don’t regret it. Everything with weight with me was, ‘I want it now.’ The injections that I was on worked, but it just seems that now I can’t put anything on really.’

Sharon added: ‘I lost over 40lbs, If I could I would put back another 10.

‘I’m just an ordinary person who got lucky and I didn’t take advantage of that. I never want to forget I am blessed and been really lucky in my life.’

Sharon hasn’t shied away from discussing her significant weight loss journey, admitting to the Mail On Sunday that she lost ‘too much weight’.

The drug is also known as Wegovy – the brand name for semaglutide, which works in the brain to make users feel full.

She said: ‘At the end of the 1990s, I had an operation to have my stomach ‘banded’. The result was that I didn’t need to eat so much to feel full.

‘I was never a druggie. When Ozzy and I were first together, I’d try to keep up with his drinking, but I was useless. One wine gum and I’m on the floor.

‘No, my weakness has always been food. When I’m happy, I eat. When I’m sad, I eat. I was a pig. At my heaviest, I weighed 230lb — that’s just over 16 stone. And I’m only 5ft 2in. I weighed more than my husband.

‘So, I made it my business to lose almost half my body weight. The result was that I had flesh hanging everywhere. My breasts were flat and sagging.’

He said: 'I wouldn't eat for a day and a half and then I would be that hungry I would drive to KFC and order three meals and then I'd hate myself and then not eat again'

Sharon added she underwent a ‘string of cosmetic procedures’ starting with a browlift and facelift.

‘I had liposuction on my neck and had it lifted, too. I had my breasts lifted, my arms lipo-ed and my tummy tucked. I had my bum lifted and implants inserted.’

‘Then I had a facelift three-and-a-half years ago, but the guy messed up. I was left with one eye higher than the other. It took a year to put it all right. I frightened myself with what happened,’ the TV favourite recalled.

‘Last December, I resorted to injecting myself with Ozempic, a semaglutide that fools the brain into thinking you’re not hungry. I lost 42lb — that’s 3st — but it was too much.

‘Now, I weigh just over 7st. I need to put on 10lb, but however much I eat, I stay the same weight.’

Speaking about her experience with Ozempic, Sharon previously said: ‘I’ve been off it for a while now, but my warning is don’t give it to teenagers, it’s just too easy…

‘You can lose so much weight and it’s easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous. I couldn’t stop losing weight and now I’ve lost 42 lbs. and I can’t afford to lose any more.’

The star recently admitted that she 'needed to put weight back on' after losing a shocking 42lbs on Ozempic; she is seen in November
