Celebrity Big Brother housemate Ekin-Su Culculoglu has been accused of ‘playing a game’ by a show star, after she raised eyebrows with her grilling of Gary Goldsmith.
The Love Island star, 29, questioned the businessman, 59, who is Kate’s uncle, about how the Princess of Wales is doing while she recovers from abdominal surgery.
While Ekin-Su’s blunt questioning was lauded by viewers watching at home, Oti Mabuse has claimed her tactics may be part of a bid to boost screentime.
Speaking on spin-off show Late and Live, Oti said she was ‘in two minds’ about Ekin-Su’s motive so far, but praised her for speaking candidly about her struggles with Fern Britton.
She said: ‘That vulnerability is beautiful to see and that’s actually a strength that she has,’ but added that her ‘other toxic Oti side’ thinks Ekin-Su could be getting close to certain housemates to boost her screentime.

‘She’s only talking to the real famous people in the house, the infleunce of people in the house,’ Oti said.
‘That’s me going, girl, I know she’s smart, is she playing a game?’
While Ekin-Su’s behaviour has sparked scepticism among some viewers, a majority praised her for asking Gary about Kate’s whereabouts.
Chatting with Gary in the bedroom, Ekin-Su said: ‘Can I ask you a question, where’s Kate?’
‘So, because she doesn’t want to talk about that…’ Gary said to which Ekin-Su replied: ‘You can’t talk about it?’
‘There’s a kind of code of etiquette,’ Gary explained. ‘If it’s announced, I’ll give you an opinion.’
‘I hope she’s OK,’ Ekin-Su said.
‘I know, I spoke to her mum, my sister, she’s getting the best care in the world,’ Gary said. ‘All the family is done is put the wagons around and look after family first before anything else.

‘They put a statement out that said, “We’ll take some time to recoup and we’ll see you in Easter.”
Ekin-Su replied: ‘I’ve heard mixed things about Kate and I don’t want to make a comment but whatever it is, we want her to come back.’
‘She’ll be back, of course she will,’ Gary said.
Fans took to X/Twitter to praise Ekin-Su, with one writing: ‘Ekin-Su’s question to Uncle Gary about Kate Middleton’s whereabouts is quite amusing!’
Another wrote: ‘Ekin-Su asking the right question. And Gary’s answer made his niece’s whereabouts even more suspicious.’
A third added: ‘Where’s Kate? Ok Ekin-Su, you’re growing on me,’ while a fourth penned: ‘Ekin-Su doing the Lord’s work.’
It comes just days after the Princess of Wales was pictured for the first time since undergoing surgery in January as an American website published photos of her being driven by her mother near Windsor.
Although officials have refused to give any further updates on Kate’s health due to medical privacy, royal aids have insisted she is ‘doing well’.

Following abdominal surgery, Kate has remained out of the public eye for two months as she recovers.
The pictures were published by US gossip website TMZ but not in the UK after Kensington Palace appealed for her to be able to recuperate in private.
The response came in American celebrity magazine People calling for transparency over the Princess’ condition.
A spokesman told the outlet: ‘His focus is on his work and not on social media.’
The rebuttal comes less than a week after Royal aides spoke out to condemn the ‘madness of social media’ as conspiracy theories continue to circulate about the Princess of Wales’s health.
