Celebrity Big Brother star Bradley Riches has revealed he unknowingly predicted his shocking backdoor eviction, mere minutes before saying goodbye to the house.

The Heartstopper star left viewers in tears when he was booted out of the show just a day before the final, before getting the chance to see his friends and family.

In a shocking twist, Bradley was the final housemate waiting to see loved ones at the rendezvous, only for host AJ Odudu to reveal that he had been evicted.

Speaking exclusively on ‘s podcast The Sidebar, Bradley spoke to Richard Arnold, Anna Whitehouse and Rezzy Ghadjar about his time in the CBB house.

Describing his backdoor exit as ‘a bit brutal,’ Bradley said: ‘I don’t know if this got shown, but basically that morning, Wednesday morning, me and David were in the garden and I was like ”there’s not going to be six of us on Friday. I’ll tell you that they’re voting right now”.

‘And then he was like, ”oh yeah, there’s never six, well, there’s sometimes there is, but it’s always a reboot, we don’t actually know.

‘But I was like, I don’t think there’s gonna be six of us here this Friday. And then David was like, ”do you think someone’s getting evicted tonight?”

‘I was like, it’s the last chance someone can get evicted tonight because then it goes out tomorrow and then it’s the live final… someone’s getting evicted tonight.’

‘And then when this game was happening at like 9pm. and then I was the last one up, I, went to David before I went in and I went, ”I’ll either see my boyfriend or my sister or my mum or dad or my dog or I’ll be evicted!”

‘And he went, ha ha ha. Then I went in and then I got evicted!’

Detailing the moment he learned he’d been evicted, Bradley continued: ‘When I saw AJ, my first, second thought was: ”Oh, is AJ my friend?”

‘I met her a couple of times before I was on the show, so I was like ”oh, is she my friend that’s coming in?’

‘I was nervous and upset, and when the lights went red, and she was saying: ‘None of your family or friends are here, and I was like ”oh that’s nice of them!”

‘But my sister was there, and then [AJ] was like ”none of your family and friends are here!”

‘And then in my head, the only thing I could think about was ”ohh, I’m going home. Absolutely fine!

‘But in my head,  what about she then says, ”come with me,” and then I can’t say bye to any of my friends! And that was the one thing I was nervous about. So when she said, ”go and say bye”, I literally sprinted out that door!’

Viewers saw Bradley say an emotional farewell to the remaining five housemates, before going into hiding for 24 hours, ahead of his eviction being broadcast the following evening.

Bradley’s sudden exit from CBB meant that former X Factor judge Louis, This Morning legend Fern Britton, Coronation Street actor Colson Smith, Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita, and Ibiza Weekender’s David Potts made it through to the final.

In the end, reality star David triumphed and came out in first place.

Revealing that he first began talks to sign up for CBB just last month, Bradley also admitted he ‘didn’t have the same connection’ with housemate Ekin-Su Culculoglu as he did with his main pals on the show.

The Love Island star was embroiled in a bullying row after she was booed by the studio audience, goaded by guest star Layton Williamsand mocked by hosts AJ Adudu and Will Best, the latter branding her ‘Ekin Boo Hoo Hoo’, during her stint on ITV2’s Late & Live shortly after her eviction.

The model sparked the onslaught by claiming she was ‘edited badly’, after being informed by loved ones that she was at risk of being ‘cancelled’ and fans had ‘turned against her’ due to the way she had been portrayed.

Bradley said: ‘I think with Ekin-Su, I feel like, I thought she was a lovely person. She’s really kind, always was up for a conversation.

‘But for me personally, I just didn’t have that, with the connection I have with Colson, Nikita and David. I didn’t have that with her and that’s absolutely normal.

‘It’s natural for you not to be as close as other people, but I thought she was so lovely, so kind.

‘And I obviously don’t know what it’s been portrayed on there, but I don’t, I don’t understand this fakeness as such with her because I thought she was kind.’

After wrapping filming on the third season of Heartstopper – and his CBB stint – Bradley is next set to take to the stage for his new West End musical Babies.

Written by Jack Godfrey and Martha Geelan, the show follows a group of year 11 students each tasked with looking after a robot baby for sex education.

The official website states: ‘With a blistering pop rock score, this brand new British musical follows nine students as they discover that becoming a parent means changing more than just nappies.

‘Friendships are tested, dreams are questioned and the real meaning of responsibility rears its terrifying head.’
