Carrie Johnson has revealed her two-year-old daughter has been rushed to hospital following a ‘grim’ family crisis.
The wife of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson took to Instagram to tell her 88,000 followers that her daughter Romy sustained a ‘pretty deep’ cut after falling over at nursery.
She explained that things went from bad to worse when all three children then picked up ‘some vomiting virus and have been sick multiple times’.
The 35-year-old, who herself was suffering from a ‘stinking cold’ at the time, was forced to look after the youngsters on her own, which led to a ‘pretty grim’ 48 hours.
Carrie said the family has now come ‘out the other end’ of the traumatic ordeal and thanked her followers for all their support.

Carrie wrote in a post on Instagram earlier this week: ‘The last 48 hours have been pretty grim here.
‘My daughter fell at nursery and needed to go to hospital as the cut was pretty deep and then all three kids have picked up some vomiting virus and have been sick multiple times.
‘I’m looking after them on my own while having a stinking cold and also feeling pretty off-colour. A dose of reality on here!’
She later updated her followers about the ordeal and thanked them for all the support.
Carrie said: ‘I think we’re coming out the other end of it a bit because Romy is laughing and no one has vomited for a few hours. So that’s good.
‘Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for all being so nice. This is such a lovely community on here.
‘Everyone has sent really really lovely, kind, supportive, solidarity messages and right back at you all.’
‘And happy international women’s day.’
