Cardi B unleashed an expletive-laden rant towards Donald Trump’s supporters after the Republican leader dramatically seized control of the US election.

After winning the key battleground states of North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania, Trump took to stage and declared victory in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Cardi B said she she was ‘proud’ of Kamala Harris who secured states including California and Colorado but lost to her Republican rival.

During an Instagram live to 37,000 viewers, the Grammy-winning artist turned on Trump’s supporters who were flooding the comments section as she shared words of motivation to Harris.

Reading a comment which said ‘Cardi we need you at the Trump inauguration’, the singer ranted: ‘I swear to god I’m gonna f*** you up, get away from me! I’m sick of you! Burn you’re f***ing hats motherf****r. I’m really sad. I swear to god I’m really sad.’

Talking about her ‘love’ for Harris, she told her followers: ‘No matter what, I know that she’s probably emotional right now. I know there’s probably a lot going on in her mind and I know she’s not listening to this, but she will eventually see it.

‘I just hope she knows no matter what happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her. Women around the world are proud of her. Women of colour are proud of her.

‘Y’all I know how I felt at the beginning of the f***ing year, I didn’t want to vote for anybody.  She changed my mind, I feel like she was very honest and said the things I wanted to hear.’

The rapper added: ‘When I look at her face and she was talking to me, I thought she was very genuine and not playing any f***ing games. She had 100 days to do all of this and she woke this nation up. I feel there was a lot of things that went wrong last year and they kept her too much in the background.

‘I’m proud of her and I hope she’s proud of herself no matter what happens tonight. This is one of the most unforgettable elections and I love her. I don’t say I love a lot of people, y’all know that. Because I hate everybody.’

Cardi B is one of a number of celebrities who have endorsed the vice president for the US election.

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey, rapper Eminem, singer Taylor Swift and her American footballer boyfriend Travis Kelce and actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Julia Roberts have all also endorsed Harris.

Celebrities from both sides of the Atlantic have reacted to Trump’s victory.

Riverdale star Lili Reinhart, a Harris supporter, also lashed out in response to Trump’s White House comeback.

She wrote on X: ‘I cannot fathom the feeling of the women who came forward about their sexual assault at the hands of Trump. Seeing millions of people vote for their abuser. My heart absolutely breaks for these women. I believe you, and I am so sorry.’

When another user commented ‘Lili you’re a great actor, stay only acting, stay out of politics’, she replied: ‘Suck my d***.’

Singer Paloma Faith had earlier posted on Instagram: ‘Today feels like the whole world is waiting for an STD test result.’

When news of Trump’s win broke, she followed up with: ‘Sadly the rest results came back positive.’ In another post, the singer added: ‘Oh great he’s back. Goodbye women’s rights, goodbye liberalism, goodbye freedom of speech. Hello racism, hello capitalism, hello climate change, hello war, hello end of days.’

Actress Cara Delevingne said it was ‘gutting but freeing too’. She added: ‘We get to make every day over the next four years hell for fascists, misogynists, bigots and liars. This is not the time to shrink, nor the time to despair.’

Elsewhere, British liberal LBC radio host James O’Brien wrote: ‘What fresh hell is this?’

Billionaire Shark Tank star Mark Cuban conceded defeat by congratulating Donald Trump after campaigning hard for his opponent.

‘Congrats Donald Trump. You won fair and square. Congrats to Elon Musk as well.’

In stark contrast, gloating Trump endorsers were celebrating into the night. Billionaire X owner Elon Musk said: ‘Game, set and match.’ He added: ‘The people of America gave Donald Trump a crystal clear mandate for change tonight.’

Comedian and actor Russell Brand posted: ‘DONALD TRUMP WON.’

Many have encouraged Americans to go out and vote, sharing photos of themselves at the ballots as well.

Madonna, who also endorsed Harris, shared a photo of her voting alongside her daughter Lourdes, writing: ‘We voted. Going to go home and pray now! Kamala Harris for president. Save our country.’

Julia Roberts also cast her vote as she wore a POTUS female T-shirt with no makeup on.

‘There is a time to Hope, there is a time to Pray and there is time to VOTE. TODAY IS THE DAY!’ wrote the Oscar-winning actress on Instagram.

Anne Hathaway said on Instagram: ‘I voted like half the country’s lives depended on it. I voted for Kamala Harris. VOTE.’
